Alternative 2 to Item 57.a

Providing Water proofing treatment for Retaining Walls using
self Adhesive Sheet Membrance of 1.5mm thick Bituthene
3000 or Bithene CP, cold applied with cross laminated 2 ply
polyethylene film and 1.4 mm minimum rubber asphalt
including protecting the membrance with 25 mm thick Rate only
polyfoam or polyethylene broad.

The surface to be cleaned by raking & cleaning of construction joints, if any

and spreading a coat of cement slurry which penetrates into the structure
which will fill cracks and other porous areas and the surface to be
finished smoothly.

The membrane shall be applied over a prepared smooth substrate in

fair weather condition including applying a coat of primer (re-prime or re-
condition areas contained by dust)and allow to dry before application
of membrane with necessary overlaps between the membrane
 in both directions & fixing overlaps by tape,
firm rolling onto the surface to get a tight seal ,proper lapping on to the

Water Proofing System including making proper slopes in the

Providing Water proofing treatment for Terrac Roof Slab surface by using
Rate only
Bituminous liquid applied membrane of approved make.

The surface to be cleaned by raking & cleaning of construction joints, if any

and spreading a coat of cement slurry which penetrates into the structure
which will fill cracks and other porous areas and the surface to be graded
properly to a slopeof 1:80 (or as specified in the drawing) towards drainage
outlets with cement mortar screed of 1:4 and reinforced with a layer of
chicken mesh 20 mm x 28 g.The substrate should be applied with primer
ensuring full coverage and allowed to dry.
Bituminous liquid applied membranes to be applied over the prepared &
primed substrate surface using brush,roller, spray or squeegee,to the
entire area and turned up to a minimum height of 300 mm from the
finished floor level and apply polyester reinforcement fabric over the
membrane to serve as reinforcement and the finished surface to be
protected by laying a proprietary recommended capping sheet.
The membrane surface to be dressed properly over penetrations,
attachments & down into floor outlets and should be mechanically
secured with pressure seal at all edge condition,change of plane, curb
flashings, upstands etc.
The surface to be treated with 20 mm thick waterproof screed over the
 membrane and finished with surfacing material or if tiles to be laid over
the waterproof screed or membrane,use compatible proprietary adhesive,
all as per manufacturer's recommendations etc; complete with all lead Rate only

work excuted on a Rs.100/- stamp in an approved proforma,effective from
the date of practical completion.

Adhesive Membrane of make Preprufe 300R or equivalent, pre-applied
before csting of the base slab which gets bonded to the underneath of
the poured concrete used as base slab.

The membrane shall consist of a thick HDPE film, highly aggrassive

pressure sensitive adhesive & weather resisting coating which bonds
integrally to poured concrete for use base slabs.
 The membrane shall be applied for the entire raea and turned up on to
a verticle timber formwork to a minimum height of 300 mm,laid with the
film facing the prepared substrate over a lean concrete of having smooth
dried surface including necessary removal of release liner while applying
