LOADING PROCESS PROCEDURE

CARGO (PHC PILES)


• 2 Hours before the ship is berthing, the cargo accordance with the agreement should
be ready on the port, for PHC piles cargo as much as 1087 pieces, weighing a total
3488,82 tonnes.
• Estimates needed for the process of loading per day is: 29 trailer/day, in 3 day with
total trip of trailer estimated to be about 100 trip.
• Each trailer carry cargo of PHC Piles as much as 10 – 12 pcs.

EQUIPMENT AND DUNNAGE


• For the process of loading cargo to the ship, required 2 unit crane, within capacity 50
ton and length/Boom min. 28 m.
• For Dunnage, wooden with dimension 6 cm x 12 cm x 12 m as much as
approximately 10 M3

LOADING CARGO TO THE SHIP/BARGE


• Barge berthing should be on Long side position.
• The crane should be placing at two position on the barge, one at the bow (front) and
another at the stern (rear).
• Before the loading process performed, on the boat or barge, placed first dunnage on
longitudinal position or take the width of the ship or barge.
• Loading process performed one by one, on the bow (front) as well as on the stern
(rear) of the barge, but still must pay attention to trim / draft of the ship, with still
supervised by the inspector (SUCOFINDO), stevedoring companies, and the crew
(chif), the loading process starting with the PHC Piles which has the heaviest weight,
or has the longest size.
• For trim / draft barge, conditioned to remain in a state of balance, the stern (rear)
barge, a little more into than at the bow (front), it also has to be agreed with the boat
captain.
• Loading process is done uniformly, starting from the front end (bow) and rear (stern)
continued until the middle position of the barge.

LASHING CARGO ON THE SHIP/BARGE


• Conducted in accordance with the instructions of a third party inspector
(SUCOFINDO), and known by the chif of barge that will be responsible for cargo
security in toward the destination.
• Lashing process is usually done by taking the width of the ship / barge.
• For a lashing process consists of hard needle, seal, tiger nails, a length of steel wire
rope in accordance with the requirements.
• For the number of lashing, depending on the agreement between the inspector
(SUCOFINDO) and chif of barge.
• After the loading process is completed and the cargo and lashing diapprove by the
inspector (SUCOFINDO) and Chif of barge, ship agent will make the process of
making Sailing Permit (SIB), as a condition to be able to sail from the port.
For the unloading process at the destination:
BERTHING
• The position of barge when berthing on the port should be same as the position when
the loading process performed in the place of origin, which is in long side position not
in the Bitching Position (rear side) or Raam door position of barge (Front side), This
needs to be done for ease in Unloading process cargo.
• Unlashing Process, usually done by local stevedoring companies.
• For equipment used should be similar to equipment used in place of origin, it’s
required 2 unit crane, within capacity 50 ton, and length/Boom Min. 28 m.
• Unloading process performed one by one, on the bow (front) as well as on the stern
(rear) of the barge, but still must pay attention to trim / draft of the ship/barge
• Unloading process is done uniformly, starting from the front end (bow) and rear
(stern) continued until the middle position of the barge.

Barge Readiness to load:


• Name of Barge : TB. Rhyman 02 / BG. Rhyman 21
• Arrive to Jakarta : 30 September 2010 or 01 October 2010
• Readiness to load : 02 October 2010
• Maximum Loading Process : 3 Days
• Processing Document for clearance out : 1 Days
• Estimated time journey to the destination : 18 – 21 days (Normally)

Position Draft of Barge


• Draft of Barge before loading 4 m
• Draft of Barge after loading 3,5

Requirement:
Prior to loading, the Document of goods export notification must be completed at least 2 days
before the ship / barge berthing to the port or ready to performing loading process.
