Dr. Eric J Strauss is a sports medicine


specialist with a clinical focus on cartilage restoration,
meniscus surgery and the arthroscopic treatment of
orthopaedic pathology affecting the knee, shoulder,
elbow and ankle.
After graduating AOA with honors in research from the
Weil Medical College of Cornell University, Dr. Strauss
performed his orthopaedic surgery residency at the
prestigious NYU Hospital For Joint Diseases where he
received numerous awards for both basic science and
clinical orthopaedic research. He completed his sports
medicine fellowship training at the world-renowned Rush
University Medical Center in Chicago, under the guidance
of Drs. Bach, Cole, Romeo, Bush-Joseph, Verma and
Nicholson. As a sports medicine fellow at Rush, Dr.
Strauss served as the assistant team physician for the
Chicago White Sox, Chicago Bulls, Chicago Steel and
Nazareth High School, gaining experience treating
athletes at all levels of competition.
