Middle Wisconsin’s Recommendations for

While some have expressed concerns about not feeling heard by Ostertag in the past, recent com-
ments and actions he has taken on the board indicate that he wants to work together with mutual
respect with the district’s employees to ensure student success.

Robb Shepherd is owner and president of Shepherd and Schaller Sporting Goods in Wausau and
is a product of the Wausau schools. He has had 3 terms on the School Board and has had experi-
ence as a board member of the local Chamber of Commerce. When asked about challenges facing
the district, he emphasized the physical plants and repeatedly connected all challenges back to
financial issues. He also emphasized the ways in which we deliver technology through the buildings
in order to keep up with current trends. While Mr. Shepherd has experience on the board, he looks
at issues from the lens of a businessperson and the “bottom line.”

In keeping with Middle Wisconsin’s philosophy of taking back our country from corporate oppression,
we feel most comfortable endorsing Ms. Henning, Mr. Trollop, and Mr. Ostertag and are asking you
to do what you can to ensure the election of these Wausau School Board candidates on April 5. 
