hull 2359) at Kaiser Co., Inc., Vancouver, WA.

SS Marine Jumper was delivered to Moore McCormack Lines Co., 10 September 1945, at Portland, OR.
for operation under GAA agreement for the War Shipping Administration
Operated under charter by United States Lines, 1947 to 1949
Returned to the Maritime Commission, 24 March 1949, chartered to the War Department, Army
Transportation Service (ATS), commissioned USAT Marine Jumper
Custody assumed by US Navy, 7 May 1952
Never activated, laid up in the National Defense Reserve Fleet, James River Group, Lee Hall, VA.
Struck from the Naval Register, date unknown
Title transfer to Waterman Steamship Corp., MARAD Exchange Program, 10 November 1964, sold to
Litton Industries Leasing Corp, the same day
Renamed SS Panama in April 1966
Converted to a Containership, completed 12 August 1966
Sold to Reynolds Leasing Corp, 28 February 1975
Sold to Sea-Land Serviced Inc., 10 February 1987
