PROJECT EXPERIENCE
Logica Australia
PROMISe III
PROMISe III was a federally funded research project focussing on drug interventions
undertaken in pharmacies throughout Australia. The Project required design and
development of a data store suitable for the secure storage of in excess of a million
prescriptions and associated patients as well as several thousand interventions undertaken
during the course of the study.
Duties
In consultation with the client and the interstate vendors of the pharmaceutical dispensing
software utilised in pharmacies, develop a comprehensive functional specification to clearly
articulate the requirements and high level design of the proposed system.
Develop an IEEE‐829 compliant Test Plan to clearly identify the process of testing the
proposed system including scope, responsibilities, success criteria and defect resolution.
Develop a matrix of risk and criticality to ensure testing was prioritised to give testing
precedence to areas of critical functionality that had the highest potential for defects.
Develop individual test cases for each functional aspect of the proposed system, ensuring all
functional areas received appropriate test coverage.
Manage the functional testing process to ensure maximum coverage of functionality
delivered during each release.
Develop a suite of control data to ensure consistency of expected results during the testing
process and to clearly identify the transactional process affected by a defect.
Implement and manage a defect tracking and resolution process as well as manage testing
of resolved defects and associated regression testing.
In consultation with the Project Manager, implement and oversee a change management
system to ensure changes requested by the client were suitably scoped, costed and
developed.
Prepare periodic progress documentation relating to test results, resolved and outstanding
defects and test coverage.
Prepare project closure documentation relating to test coverage, defect management,
reflection of the suitability of the processes implemented and discussion of potential
enhancements to the process for future iterations of the system.
HED (Hedge Effectiveness Documentation)
The HED Project provided a process for Aurora Energy to examine the effectiveness of
hedged contracts and ensure contracts were hedged in accordance with prevailing policy.
Duties
Develop a Test Plan to clearly identify the process of regression testing the existing system
including scope, responsibilities, success criteria and defect resolution.
Create a suite of test cases to test enhancements and changes to the existing HED system.
Develop a suite of regression tests to ensure ongoing development did not adversely affect
the existing system.
Implement and manage a defect tracking and resolution process as well as manage testing
of resolved defects and associated regression testing.
Prepare documentation for the Project Manager relating to test results and defect
resolution at the conclusion of testing of each release of HED.
Dytech Solutions
FIND
The FIND system was a custom designed suite of software developed to underpin the
operation of the Tasmanian Government Monetary Penalty Enforcement System. FIND was
required to collate fines information from multiple sources including the Supreme Court,
Magistrates Court, Tasmania Police, Service Tasmania and the Department of Primary
Industries, Water and Environment. The role of FIND was to supersede all individual systems
operated separately by various fine issuing arms of Government and collate issued fines into
one distinct system.
Duties
Develop a matrix of risk and criticality to ensure testing was prioritised to give testing
precedence to areas of critical functionality that had the highest potential for defects.
Develop individual test cases for each functional aspect of the proposed system, ensuring all
functional areas received appropriate test coverage.
Manage a small team to undertake the functional testing process to ensure maximum
coverage of functionality delivered during each release.
Develop a suite of control data to ensure consistency of expected results during the testing
process and to clearly identify the transactional process affected by a defect.
Oversee the process of defect identification, recording, tracking and resolution as well as
manage testing of resolved defects and associated regression testing.
Prepare periodic progress documentation for the Project Manager relating to test results,
resolved and outstanding defects and test coverage.
CAIS (Consular Assistance Information System)
The CAIS Project was commissioned by the Federal Government to record details of
Australian citizens abroad at any given time including names, contact details, itineraries and
travelling companions.
Duties
Undertake analysis of the developed Functional Specification to ensure suitable coverage of
proposed functions and consistency in logic of the proposed design.
Develop individual test cases for each functional aspect of the proposed system, ensuring all
functional areas received appropriate test coverage.
Manage a small team to undertake the functional testing process to ensure maximum
coverage of functionality delivered during each release.
Oversee the process of defect identification, recording, tracking and resolution as well as
manage testing of resolved defects and associated regression testing.
