ATTENDANCE POLICY

Springboro High School Summer School offers students the opportunity to take courses for
original or make-up credit. Due to the limited number of days to
meet standards for issuing course credit for summer courses, daily
attendance is REQUIRED. Students missing more than two days for
Summer School a full credit course will not receive credit for the course. Students
missing more than one day in one-half or one-quarter courses will
2011 not receive credit for the course. Remedial courses for full credit
may be fewer than five weeks, and may allow only one absence.
Please plan your vacation and work schedule with summer school
dates to avoid conflicts.

June 6 – July 8 Note: Physical education students will not be allowed to miss class
for camps. Session I students will not be allowed to make up days
7:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. missed for travel during Session II. For graduation requirements,
only one section of summer Physical Education may be taken by a
Daily student.

Sixty contact hours are required to give credit. Classes normally


meet for five hours per day. Teachers may require students to

School (June 6th) unless refund is due to the lack of a course offering.

Session 1: June 6 ― June 17 These classes are open to students in grades 9 – 12
Session 2: June 20 ― July 1 who have previously taken, but not passed the Ohio
Graduation Tests. The minimum number of students
needed for each intervention class is 10. The cost is
$30 per student.
