 Introduction
Purpose

The purpose of software is to be developed to simplify the reservation and booking

process and help you to keep in touch with your customers. “futsal management system "
will fulfill all of your needs. Some of the features of this unique software are :Court
booking management for multiple stadium, sales and rentals, invoices and receipts,
booking confirmation by e-mail, personalized mailings, newsletters, daily reports, check-in
and check-out lists reliable statistics and much more. the entire process will be automated,
which is very ideal since tracking customers manually is rather time consuming and
involves a lot of paper work. The program will also help you to organize your business
better, as it will analyze the trend of booking in order to be well prepared for the future

The purpose of this document is to raise awareness on the problems and possible improvement
of an old management Futsal system that mainly depend on the human labor, which is high risk in
making mistake and not easy to manage, and at the same time, propose a new online booking
system calls “futsal management system” this management system will involve in granting a
membership, mobile application, managing customer database, making reservation online,
auditing for internal control and so on... It is an online reservation system for Futsal Company.
This proposal is used to establish the managing system of the futsal court i.e. customer register
for membership. the project can start developing into the right direction without any major problem
and carry on effectively.

Overview

This project proposal document is divided up into eight parts. The first part contains introduction
of the Futsal Company. The second part elaborates on a new proposed system. the background
information of Futsal Company with exiting problems, limitation and the new feature of the new
software. The third part is the literature review, in this section; we will identify relevant related
work and cite references for the project. The fourth part is the objective, what is the main goal for
the project. The fifth part is methodology, in this section, we will state what are the problem are
face and what method do we use to overcome and establish our goal. The sixth part is we will
identify scope of the project. The seventh part is the plan and schedule in carrying out the project,
how we divide the work among ourselves

 Background
2.1 FUTSAL COMPANY

Futsal is a soccer sport which played on a smaller playing surface and mainly played indoors.
Futsal is played between two teams of five players including the goal keeper. It is become more
and more famous nowadays among the youngster. First, the size of the futsal is half of the soccer
field; the player does not have to spend much energy and time getting to the other side. Second, it
involve only ten to twelve people, depending on the size of the futsal , it is easier to gather people
than in the soccer team where it involve twenty-two people. Thirdly, this sport is indoor, player can
play the whole day or any time they like, they don’t have to worry about the hot sun or the heavy
rain storm or the darkness. This is the reason why the futsal is become more popular.

Because of their popularity, more investor has invested in this business, so the number of futsal
stadium has increase quite rapidly.

2.2 LIMITATION

Limitation of the existing management system.

1. No online reservation
2. Use paper coupon for package/membership
3. No online mobile application
4. Internal auditing

2.3 PROBLEM OF THIS LIMITATION

1. Receptionist has to be the one involve in making reservation, high risk for confusion,
customer not satisfy.
2. Paper coupon can be torn and lost easily.
3. Customer cannot access information on their mobile phone.
4. No management system to help in preventing corruption.

Implement by using PHP

PHP is a server-side, cross-platform; HTML embedded scripting language to create dynamic web
pages. PHP-enabled web pages are treated just like regular HTML pages. PHP is embedded
within tags, so the web developer can move between HTML and PHP instead of using large
amounts of code. Because PHP is executed on the server, the viewer cannot see the code.PHP
can perform the same tasks as a CGI program can do and is compatible with many different kinds
of databases including MySQL.

Implement by using MySQL

MySQL enables organizations to cost-effectively scale-out their database infrastructure so they

can exponentially grow their web-site traffic and transaction volumes. We will be using MySQL
as its database medium for our project as well. The MySQL database consistently scores
among the top for performance, throughput and scalability. So it's no surprise that MySQL is used
for some of the most demanding, high volume, business-critical applications at companies like,
Google, Lufthansa, MIT Lincoln Labs, NASA, Sabre Holdings, Yahoo and others. Companies
have implemented large "scale out" web and data warehouse applications running MySQL on
dozens, hundreds and even thousands of commodity Intel and Opteron servers saving millions of
dollars in the process. MySQL scales to deal with billions of rows and terabytes of data making it
suitable for a wide range of transactional and analytic applications.

 Literature Review
3.1 About Online Court Scheduling

Online reservations software is a web-based program for clients to book services and/or court
times. The interface must be simple to understand and use. The design has to be as easy as
possible for even a non-technical user to quickly view and make a court reservation. The software
offers powerful back-end functionality for an administrator. For example, the admin can do
advanced tasks like mass bookings and cancellations over multiple courts and days.

3.2 Customizing the Booking Software

The web software is usually customizable, and it can be modifying for depending on your needs.
The software can be customized because the concept is pretty similar to each other it for example
like scheduling motel room reservations, bowling lanes, restaurant dining reservations etc.

Reservation and eCommerce software is written in PHP and uses MySQL for its database
infrastructure.

3.3 Using PHP and MySQL for the project

In this part, you will identify relevant related work and cite references as much as you can. Tell the
readers what and how other researchers have solved and what is left for you to be done. Also tell
the readers how your work is relevant to the previous ones or how you are going to use/apply
their results in your work.

 Objective

The primary objective of our senior project is to establish this web base software that is suitable
for any kind of futsal court.

The customer can pre-register in the website; auto reply will sent the confirmation and the
registration code to their e-mail. the customer can get the membership at the registration counter
by giving registration code and make the payment . Customer information will be kept in the
system database. the customer can register at the counter by filling in the form and summit the
form to the staff, the staff will then issue membership card with the printed bar code on it.

The member customers have to log in first before they can make reservation of the court online.
They can check the time and date of the available court, once they decide to book the court at the
certain time, they have to make confirmation, once they have confirm, the hour will be deduced
from their card. if customer need to postpone or cancel, they have to do it 3 day before the
booking date, otherwise it cannot be change and they have to face panalty.

For non-membership customer booking, they can check the time and date of the available court,
once the customer decide to make reservation, they have to fill in their information and summit.
The system will sent auto confirmation of the customer with the booking code. The customer will
have to make payment via TT banking or pay at the counter within 24 hours; otherwise the system
will automatically cancel the reservation. once customer have make payment, they will have to
call up the company and give the registration code and scan or fax the payment slip to the
company, or the customer can make reservation and payment straight away at the counter.

for the admin of the company website:

they can make booking, cancel, or postpone the booking date. update the company news, event,
promotion and organizing team competition.

for the database:

it should be able to calculate the time occupy of each court and calculate the total income daily.
store customer database and update every 2-3 day . classify customer according to the frequency
of visitation, or by income, occupation , age etc....

Mobile application:

Customer can access information and make reservation just like normal web site
