Engineering Curriculum Design and Development

Curriculum development is the means by which new content and supporting materials are
added to the institute programmes. It is a creative way to add new lwarning expriences to the
live of students.Curriculum design is a significant issue for educational courses in any
institute. The content of a course is the fundamental ingredient for the success of any
educational program which is why curriculum designs is a discipline that simply cannot be
ignored.

Base on fundamental principles of science and engineering, these prove a strong foundation

that enables students to apply what they have learned to the complex technology problem
today and to teach themselves for new technology.

Good characteristics of engineering graduates should deeply absorb into each one of
them.Example of good characteristics is profesionalism. They should be responsible for the
career and for themselves.Ability to design to produce a good product.Breadth of knowledge
that makes muslim engineers knows widely about this field..

Education is a dynamic phenomenon that must recognize the changes in the environment and
respond to the growing demand and challenges. To be able to plan and organize a project, to
brainstrom concepts, to perform precise calculations,to build something that is at once
durable, reliable and pleasing and stays within a budget are the items that engineers should
understood very well.Roles and responsibility in curriculum planning is importance so that
the basic engineering curriculum components.

To produce a good engineers, each of us must have good communication skills, ability to

design and analysis so that engineers can compete with others engineers and to provide a
curriculum that exceeds minimum recognized standards for engineering education.
China’s political and economic activities in Africa:Development and environmental
concerns

China’s rapid economic growth and increasing political clout have significantly accelerated
the country’s involvement in African.Chinese African relation started goes back to early 15th
century.China’s businesses in Afrika is widely expanding ahead US,Europe and India.Besides
trade, aid and investment constitute important elements in this relationship.China’s presence is
now very visible in the form of infrsstructural projects throughout Africa.

China is making substantive progress on environmental protection in its trade cooperation

with Africa.China also currently promoting dialogue and exchange of ideas in environmental
protection and cooperation in human resouces development with its African trade partner. In
the future,China will increase year after year the number of environmental protection
administrators and expers from Africa to receive training in China. They will combine and
cooperate for the environmental protection industry and demonstration projects.

Ethical Challenges of information technology:Islamic perspective

Information Technology (IT) is increasing widely now a day and this also has raised many
unethical issues for today IT profesinal. The ain is to raise and examine moral issues as they
emerge particularly in the context of the new communications and computer technology. In
islamic perspective it refers to the ethical and legal principals that are revealed from God and
Prophet Muhammad and was preserved in Quran and Hadith.

IT is widely expand and the users are also increase due to time increase, many advantages and
disadvantages that we can get from it.Both of it depends on some reasons that is ethical
problems.information technology users that the users are controlling and handle the
information either to get a benefits knowledges and results or inappropriates information. With
IT also, internet and digital crime could occur such denial of service, viruses that can harm
file, can hack others computer to know the informations.

Advantage in islamic view is that the legal part of Islam is based on ethical foundations. This
gives Islam and edge over other approaches to behaviour rules that consistent within it own
framework. For the future and to keep the sicoety values,we need to formulate a new laws to
strenghten existing values and construct a new conceptual model to apply the changing value
system
Islamic Perspective of Quality Administration

Quality is a value develops through human civilizations through the need for change, through
better administrative services and through the perfection in consumer services and industrial
products.Religious teachings are instrumental in shaping and guiding mankind to achieve and
perform better.Quality related to customer’s perspective.the work of prefesional, all those who
provide services including administrators are by virtue of their profession expected to
archieve and produce quality services.

Islam as a religion of quality.Islam become the only feasible work alternative to the
domineering machinations of the Capitalist World.Islam also is the sole philosophy that will
eventually stand the test of time.Islam is not only a comprehensive guide to human life and
development rather its enemies have realized its importance both in the intellectual social and
religous levels.

Needless to mention all civilizations are born out of quality work, quality thinking and quality
attitude.Civilization in its most essential meaning is the ability of people to live together
harmoniously in cities and in social groupings. This requires quality administration in the level
of politics,social and religions.
Environmental and Waste Management issues from islamic perspective

Prophet Muhammad was a pioneer of environmentalism as an anlysis of the prophetic saying

reveals that he was a stouch advocate of environmental protection. From account of his life
and deeds,we read that prophet Muhammad had profound respect for fauna and flora as well
as an almost intuitive connection to four elements, earth, water, fire and air.

Throughout the enuverse. The divine care for all things and all pervading wisdom in the
elements of creation may be perceived, attesting to the All Wise Maker.Quran has made a
clear that each thing and every creature in the universe whether known to man or not performs
two majors functions 1) a religious function in so far in evidences the Maker’s presence and
infinite wisdom, power and grace and the social function in the service and man and others
created beings.

In additionto this vital function, water has another socio religious function to perform which is
purification of the body and clothing from all dirt, impurities and defilement so that man may
encounter Allah clean and pure.Air is also resource that very important for oeroetuation and
preservation of life. All creatures depend on air to breath. The importance of plants and animals
as living resources is of enormous benefit without which neither man nor other species could
survive.

The conservation of natural environment is an imperative commanded by Allah. It is matter of

utmost importance to man.The need to protect the natura environment with all its biological
components from the harmful activities of man has existed as long as history has been record.
Political will in preserving natural resouces in Kenya:Policies on environmental
protection

Environmental standard in Kenya are generally lower than those in many developed nations in
West but superiror in many nations in Africa and parts of Asia.Western and local companies
has evolved in environmental dilapidation and have taken advantage of the inconsistency in
standards that exists because of the corrupt officials and mostly environmentally unconcoius
public.

The environmental Management and Co-Ordination Act 1999,categorizes that environmental

policies, functions and agencies of Kenya in sub categories:

a)Environmental Planning

b)Protection and Conservation

c)Environmental Impact Assessment

d)Environmental Audit and monitoring

Although Kenya’s environmental legislative framework is a form of sectoral

collaboration, nonetheless Kenya needs comprehensible framework of environmental laws. Its
has also problems in the level of institutional capacity to carry out policy mandates and
recomendations on the ground as external factors such as corruption contribute in a negative
way.

To sum up,Kenya has sufficient laws and policies on environment but practical strategies for
public awareness on the issue is lacking. The answer to the predicament is environmental
education. In fact Kenya has not sufficiently addressed the threat to the environmental
education partly because there was no compregensive strategy on this regard in the
educational level, similarly the government has failed to emphasize the relationship between
environment and education in relation to sustainable development.
