The block of hotel rooms Scentsy reserved for the event have now sold out, but there are many more hotels in the vicinity
of the Fort Worth Convention Center. Browse local hotel options online—and be sure to book a room as soon as your
plans are definite.
Convention Pricing
We are happy to announce that registration costs for Convention 2011 will be the same for U.S. and Canadian Consultants:
$200 (USD) and $200 (CAD) for early-bird registration through April 6. After that, the cost will be $225 (USD) and $225
(CAD) until registration closes June 30.
For U.S. Consultants, this is the first time Convention registration pricing has gone up since 2005, when Scentsy held
its first-ever Convention. Even though the company’s costs per person have steadily increased since then, Scentsy has
continued to subsidize the event heavily to keep it affordable for as many Consultants as possible.
Events, especially Convention, are not a source of profit for Scentsy. For example, the early-bird price for Convention 2010
registration was $150 for Consultants. Scentsy’s actual cost per person was about $500, and that’s not including the value
of the product giveaways.

RECRUITING CAUTIONS
We know some of you are very excited about the possibilities of growing your business in Europe. We do want to caution
you not to take any steps that could be damaging to your business and to the Scentsy brand. Please keep the following
guidelines in mind:
• We discourage the use of any online translating tools such as Google Translate for any of your communications. If you
do use these tools, it is imperative to have someone who speaks the language proof read it to see if the meaning has
changed. We have learned about situations where Consultants are using translations on their websites that do not
make sense and/or that represent Scentsy in a potentially negative manner.
• Also, keep in mind that you must wait for the official launch to begin promoting Scentsy in these new markets. It is very
important to create a positive brand experience and to research and follow the advertising laws and restrictions
specific to each country.
• In addition, stick with your existing network of contacts. Per the Scentsy, Inc. Policies and Procedures, Section 6.3.3
(U.S. version), you may not purchase email, phone, or direct mail lists to contact people you do not know personally.

The thing that surprised and pleased me most when we began our journey with Scentsy was my instant
and undeniable love of fragrance. The science and artistry involved in the creation of a scent continues

CROSS-MARKETING
Please remember, Scentsy does have strict policies against cross-marketing. Heidi and Orville personally addressed all
Scentsy Consultants with an email regarding the situation last month. Here’s some of the information they shared:
• Scentsy Consultants may not cross-market another direct selling opportunity to their Scentsy downline or to
contacts obtained through their Scentsy business. The entire policy can be found in section 11 of the Scentsy, Inc.
Policies and Procedures.
• In response to requests from Consultants and Directors who have been affected by cross-marketing, Scentsy
developed a process for handling a complaint received against a Scentsy Consultant with supporting evidence of
improper cross-marketing. The consequences are:
– Permanent forfeiture of all unpaid leadership bonuses (earned sales commissions will be paid)
– Immediate suspension of their Scentsy account (orders cannot be placed, Personal Website suspended, etc.)
• The disciplinary action will be the same for every Consultant violating the policy, regardless of rank or title.
Consultants in this situation must choose to either immediately end their relationship with Scentsy, or end their
relationship with the other company. In choosing to stay with Scentsy, they must:
– Send a letter or email of apology to every Scentsy contact they have solicited for the other company.
– Remove any reference to their participation in or connection with the other company on their Scentsy social
media sites.
• Any further evidence of a continued relationship with the other company will result in immediate and final
cancellation of their Scentsy account. No exceptions.
If you have any questions or concerns about cross-marketing, please discuss them with your Sponsor, Director, or someone in
your upline. If they’re not available, you can contact Scentsy Account Services at accountservices@scentsy.com. You can also
