Course work - team

As a team submit - for week 11
l assembly drawing of your design to BS 308
m identify parts with balloons
l include limits and fits of mating parts (e.g. gear/shaft) to BS
4500
m correct designation required on the drawing
l parts list
m must tie up with assembly drawing
l cost estimation sheet
m do NOT submit the detail cost calculations

Drawing to be done on CAD

6 Jeff Barton/Aston University
Course work - individual
Each team member is to submit - for week 12
l a detail engineering drawing to BS 308 of a rotational part (e.g.
gear, shaft)
l include linear and angular dimensions to BS 308
m include BS4500 designation and numerical tolerances for
features which form part of a fit
m other tolerances are not required
l drawing to be done on CAD
l cost calculations for this part
m include all working in the following order
l material cost
l machining time (including a discontinuity sheet)
l labour cost
l overhead cost
l total cost
