I opened it up as a 100k+ fighter ID, because I hated having and seeing these "NEWBIE" fighters get-
ting stuck in there with guys that have been training for ever, and getting beat up to the point that man-
agers release them becuase they are 0-3 in their career! Theres been alot of potentially great talent
released in this game due to several fighter ID mismatches. I try to give you guys the best match ups
that I can, and I love watching the events. I want to give you guys the best experience in this game
that I can, and that is what we are all about. We may not have the money, and hype that some of the
bigger orgs have, but I try to put a love for the game into what I do. I really hope that you guys appreci-
ate everything that goes into this, Liam has put in tons of hours on event posters, and now this mag!
So lets give a shout out to him, he does great work, and if you every need any designing done I would-
n't even look anywhere else! Also I would like to think River's Edge Nutrition, Joe has been a great
supporter of the org since day one, and a HUGE thank you goes out to him! Well here it is Issue 1 of
the DFC Mag, enjoy guys!
At DFC 15 the gold was on the line as The Underground crowd were in for a treat as Robinson took on
challenger Pasicolan. Both fighters put on a showstopper of a performance and showed to the 935 strong
crowd, just why DFC is one of the fastest growing orgs in the game. Pasicolan demonstrated his Wrestling
advantage in the first round by taking Robinson down and dominating him on the ground, nearly locking up
a number of submissions. Despite a promising start from the challenger, Robinson showed his class for the
rest of the fight and demonstrated why he's the Featherweight Champion by winning all other rounds con-
vincingly before taking the judge’s decision.
Let’s hope Pasicolan comes back stronger and get’s back in title contention again, so we can see a re-
match between these two cage warriors.
The winner of the Fighter of the Month award goes to unbeaten 185lbs champion Keith Stone. Stone is
quickly building up a reputation as one of the best 185lb fighters in the game today. Equipped with quick
hands and a BJJ Brown Belt, Stone has all the tools to finish an opponent either standing or on the ground,
which makes him a dangerous fighter to any challenger.
Still only 20, Stone is starting to make people stand up and take notice in the MMA world. Surely it can’t be
long before this blue chipper is one of the top ranked fighters in the world.
After winning his last fight by decision and dominating his last opponent Fedor Belfort in all 5 rounds, he
looks ahead to his next challenge in the form of Panch Villa. Can the Muay Thai specialist from Mexico fi-
nally hand Stone is first defeat in MMA or will stone continue to rampage through the DFC 185lb division
and retain his title?
Check out DFC 20 on the 9th April and find out for yourself.
What do you think about and do before you step in the cage?
The only thing going through my head before I step into the cage is that
the useless piece of shit standing on the other side of the cage is going to
cop the mother of all beatdowns from me.
You step into the cage with Lance Upercutt on the 9th April, some
people are saying this is the toughest challenge yet and you will fi-
nally be beaten - what do you say to that?
Shockwave - Sprawl and Brawl.. its a pretty good gym gets a bit crowded but it don't bother me much.. I'm
pretty content with my skills now so if I get a little boost from training great if not at least I will stay in shape.
Who would you say has been your toughest opponent to date?
Horst Kneifer, he is the only person who has taken a round off me. It was my first title fight and that bastard
managed to sneak a knee through my defence and open a cut above my eye. The rest of that 1st round
passed me by, it was hard to see and he came out all guns blazing. I really thought i was in trouble got
through the round and got the cut cleaned up. After that well I suppose the rest is history. Won the next 2
rounds claimed the title and haven't looked like losing it since.
My last fight againt Tevler I would put down as my best win to date. There was a little pre-fight smack by
me. He was a bit timid and didn't want to get involved in it but did pass on the message that he would let his
fists do the talking. Well he didn't get a chance I floored him in 25 seconds.
What do you say to any fighter out there, looking to take your title from you?
Come and try and to take it from me, there is not one man in the entire org that has the skill to do it. Yes
that is right, I'm putting it out there right now.. NOT ONE MAN who has a chance against me. I will accept
any challenge from any fighter in this org, Large or Small you want an Openweight Superfight let me know,
you want to step up to 265lb let me know, you want me to step up to 265lbs+ let me know. I will knock the
fark out of anyone here at DFC.
Much as the same as what you are seeing now, a long long line of title defences. Before a retire to a live of
fast women and wild nights.
Whether he was in the opening match or the main event, Drew
Herd always gave the fans their money's worth.
Damage v Accuracy
This is the slider I think most people have trouble with at the start, I know I certainly
did! new people (and experienced a lot of the time!) tend to often go to much towards
damage, leaving them missing their opponent far too often which leaves them open to
counters and tires them out very quickly. Bare this in mind; I have had sensational box-
ers with sensational punches who have missed nearly every punch they have thrown
with about 60-65% accuracy. Now this might of been unlucky, but the only time I'd rec-
ommend ever going over 50% damage is when you have a massive advantage in the
striking department!
