Statement of Purpose for Master in M.

Tech:-
Dear Admission Committee Members,
I have completed my B.E. in Electronics & Communications Discipline from RGPV University,
Bhopal (M.P.). During the course of graduation, I have developed a keen and active interest in
the fields of Aerospace.
I wish to pursue a M.Tech in the above field because I think, with my determination and
capabilities, I can benefit and contribute to the department’s research activities while studying
for a M.Tech & Forthcoming Indian Space Missions, Particularly next chandrayaan mission.
An inherent interest towards physics and mathematics encouraged me to take Electronics and
communication engineering in graduation.
In my graduation I studied:
1. Digital Logic System/Design,
2. Electronics,
3. microprocessor/controller,
4. Satellite /Advance Communication,
5. Control system,
6. Antenna & Wave Propagation,
7. Data Communication.
8. Instrumentation and Measurement.
These subjects will surely help in learning Aerospace engineering & Related Research Projects.
As Aerospace engineering is the branch of engineering behind the design, construction and
science of aircraft and spacecraft, if someone having basic knowledge of above mentioned 8
areas then this would be an added advantage over others to be having all round capabilities.
And having Higher Mathematics in Graduation will help me to understand the concept of Aero
dynamic & Fluid Mechanics & Any Complexity can be made simple & understandable with
using the knowledge of Mathematics because it is the basis of logics.
Aerospace engineers develop new technologies for use in aviation, defense systems, and space
exploration. As Far as Defense is concern I want to develop very small without pilot aircraft
which can be having inbuilt camera & trans-receivers so that we can get information at our site
on our screen. It is the part of my major project in graduation with my ideas. Similarly I am
having many defense projects in my mind.

I also read some Aerospace textbooks, including

1. “Developments in Fluid Mechanics and Space Technology” By R Narasimha & APJ
Abdul Kalam
2. "Introduction to Flight" by John D. Anderson and
3. Rocket Propulsion Elements (Wiley-Interscience)
Introduces the basic principles of rocket propulsion technology, liquid rocket
engines, solid rocket motors, electric propulsion, and thrust vector control, with
applications to space flight, satellite flight, and missiles
I love to watch related programs on discovery also, which develop keen interest in aerospace
engineering.
After going through all the programs' courses and specializations, I believe that the program
given at IIT Bombay is the most suitable for me. The excellent reputation of IIT in the
engineering field has encouraged me more.
The best skill I gained at the time of major project is to gather information needed under lack of
resources & I was able to finish this task accurately and on time.
My future plans after finishing this program is to gain a good experience in the Aerospace
industry in one of the leading companies. I would like to work in an R&D department where I
can work in a research-based project. Part of my ambition is gaining a PhD.

Thank you for your time and for considering my request. I am looking forward to hearing back
from you positively regarding my application.

A Sincere Applicant
