PEIMS Coordinator

Job Description

Summary
Responsive Education Solutions (“ResponsiveEd”) is seeking a full time PEIMS Coordinator
who will be responsible for coordinating the collection, auditing, and reporting of district
Public Education Information Management Systems (PEIMS) data. This involves
coordinating and implementing all PEIMS requirements to ensure compliance in all areas of
submitting accurate and timely reporting for submission to the Compliance Department,
Region, and the Texas Education Agency.

Qualifications
Education/Certification:
High school diploma or GED, Bachelors degree in computer science or related field
preferred
Ten years’ experience in school district administrative support position requiring
collecting and entering data
Experience using coding systems
Skills/Requirements
The skills required for this position:
Ability to maintain accurate and auditable records
Ability to use personal computer and software to develop spreadsheets, databases,
and do Word processing
Proficient in typing, keyboarding, and file maintenance
Ability to meet established deadlines
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
The typical duties of this position will include (but are not limited to) the following:
Coordinate the collection, integration, and formatting of all data required for PEIMS
submission according to PEIMS Data Standards and Student Attendance Accounting
Handbook
Work cooperatively with campus, business office, and personnel office staff to
collect, organize, and format data required to submit district PEIMS data in a timely
manner
Establish reporting time lines between campuses and the Chief Operating Officer,
and other departments
Coordinate auditing of District PEIMS data against campus records and generate
reports on findings
Run reports and verification checks on data to ensure accuracy of information
Distribute edits and reports to appropriate staff for analysis, verification, and
correction
Submit complete and accurate PEIMS data in Texas Education Agency (TEA)
prescribed format to education service center (ESC) for processing using computer
terminal or personal computer
Verify data submitted to TEA and submit corrections in a timely manner
Provide training and support to campuses and to business and personnel office staff
responsible for processing PEIMS data
Receive PEIMS-related information from ESC and TEA and disseminate to other
staff in a timely manner, including updates to PEIMS Data Standards
Attend regional PEIMS workshops and disseminate information to appropriate staff
Collaborate with department managers to develop and implement strategies for
meeting corporate goals
