Taking part in extracurricular activities is wasting your time? Sometime we just

become a member for certain organization, but we don¶t know why we must take part in

it. Just to get new friends? Or just to get certificate from the organization. What is the

syllabus curriculum we call it extracurricular activities. Can we list all advantages and

disadvantages extracurricular activities? Absolutely we can. So what areadvantages

and disadvantages for taking part in extracurricular activities?

What are advantages of taking part in extracurricular activities?Firstly is

  
 . We can get a lot of knowledge when take part in certain

academic association. Example, student that involve in EnglishClub, they can improve

their speaking and pronunciations. That¶s way every school has their own english club.

Beside the student get their marks for extracurricular activities, they can also

improvetheir school name with high achievement in english examination like MUET.

Beside all the pros of extracurricular activities, there are still having

disadvantages? Firstly, many student take part in extracurricular activities

 for their university application. Example, Ali just registers his

name in science club to get extracurricular mark. But he doesn¶t involve in activities held

by the club. If it is compulsory, he takes part but he can¶t enjoy the activities and wastes

his time, money and energy.

The second advantage is how the students 


 something from their

association members. By join activities, they can build their cooperation bond among

them. For example in scout, the students that join scout will participate in camping

which is have activities like climbing, jungle trekking and will build soul of cooperation

between them when somebody have

Nowadays, we know that our world has change. Everything today needs money.

It¶s also occur by taking part in extracurricular activities.It¶s also  

 by

various ways. For example by participate in Red Crescent, the student will need to buy

uniform. Sometime will reach till over hundreds ringgit. Can we imagine with the

hundreds ringgit, what we can buy at store? So clearly that taking part in extracurricular

activities sometime can make our pocket collapse.

 
   When students involve in extracurricular activities, they

can get more knowledge beyond their daily requirement. They also can learn the

realistic situation of life. For example when students involve in photographer club, they

will know the art of picture, scene and environment. They will more appreciate the

environment. All this they can¶t get in ordinary classroom every day.

Why it¶s occurring? Because they want to perform excel and being pressure by their

teacher or parent. So how we can conclude that extracurricular activities is success to

born an extraordinary student? The extraordinary student is students that have balance

in intellectual quote, emotional quote and also in spiritual quote. But today, can we

conclude all extracurricular activities will produce balancing student?

Now we know that taking part in extracurricular activities has a lot of advantages

and disadvantages. But it has many advantages than disadvantages and it is mean

important for kids to involve in it. A lot of experience, side knowledge and soft skills they

will learn. Now we can conclude that by taking part in extracurricular activities may lead

the student to be more knowledgeable and extraordinary genius boy.
