IV. History of the Company:

Innodata Corporation was founded in 1988 in New York City to provide digitized content
as the Internet was emerging from its scientific roots to become an important commercial and
social force. The company created quality assurance and audit procedures that became an
industry benchmark. By 1992, the year the company went public, Innodata had grown to more
than 1,000 employees worldwide. Advances in telecommunications infrastructure allowed it to
establish centers of highly trained personnel in Asia to support North American and European
operations. Major publishers, including Grolier (now Scholastic Corporation) and Reed Elsevier,
turned to Innodata for content services. Throughout the decade, its growing roster of blue-chip
publishing clients led to opening major facilities in the Philippines, Sri Lanka and India. In 2001,
Innodata acquired Isogen International and integrated both company’s content management
and publishing technologies, structured information standards and outsourcing services. In
2003, the name of Innodata Isogen Inc. was formally adopted to reflect the full range of
consolidated offerings in Content Supply Chain Optimization. In 2007, the company achieved
General Services Administration standing as a provider of content related professional services
to government agencies. Recently, the company was named one of the top ITeS and BPO
companies in India by D&B India and listed as a leading provider of outsourcing solutions by the
International Association of Outsourcing Professionals.

Accenture is the company that I like most because Accenture value their costumer as long as
their employees’. By having many kinds of sports depending on the employees interest. This
company also is an outsourcing company.

IV. History of the Company: The Philippine Meteorological Service began more than
a century ago. Prior to this date, meteorological observations were being made by
the Jesuit Fathers. The systematic recording of meteorological observations started
on this date. A Spanish royal decree recognized the observatory as an official
institution of the government.

PAGASA is really interesting since they observe the weather to let the people know of the
upcoming calamities. Especially to the speaker that we have in that day he is very funny and he
explains how PAGASA works clearly.

Economic problem is their major problem encountered in the company because when
economic problem gets worst, they had to lessen their working days to resolve scarcity that will
greatly affect the production and distribution of their products.

Learning Experience

I learned that mitsumi focuses on products that are of technical use like chips, circuits,
and motors ant etch. Mitsumi have many girls’ employees. They prioritize girls to become they
employees because girls have more qualification to do the job.
