*Japanese Language and Culture I and Chinese Language and Culture I meet live online on from
June 22nd to August 8th every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 10:30am to 12:30pm.
 Orientation
Students must attend one of the scheduled introductory meetings. Course expectations, syllabi and all
textbooks and materials will be distributed at this time. In addition, an introduction to Blackboard, the
course management software, will be presented. Students in dual enrollment course do not have to attend
these orientation meetings. Dual enrollment course orientation and testing will take place online.

Orientation will be held from 9 a.m. ~ noon on June 29 and June 30, 2011. Please indicate which

Testing
Students must report to one of seven testing sites to complete periodic assessments to monitor
achievement in the online course. Assessments, which will be given from 9 ~ 11:30 a.m., are scheduled
for the followings dates:

 0.5 Credit Recovery Courses: July 19, and July 26

 1.0 Credit Recovery Courses: July 19, and Aug. 2, Aug. 16
 0.5 For Credit Courses: July 19, Aug. 2, Aug. 16, and Aug. 23

course begins.
