My English teacher in high school and my English teacher in the University are similar in
many aspects. First, both have an excellent level of English language proficiency. Even
though in Colombia the majority of English teacher with a low level of English, Edelmira,
my English teacher in high school, has a very good level, and that is one of the reasons
why she is considered the best English teacher in the Jorge Eliecer Gaitan high school,
and my teacher Adriana is one the full-time teacher of faculty of the Education in the
University of Tolima, for obvious reasons she must have an excellent level. A second way
in which they are similar is that the use a similar methodology for teaching English.
Edelmira is a dynamic teacher whose lessons are based on the communicative approach.
Similarly, Adriana’s methodology is communicative and students are encouraged to
participate in the development of the class. Thirdly, both are really concerned with
students’ problems. Edelmira is so kind with her students and try to help them to overcome
their problems; she show interest in her students and always is in touch with their parents
for talking about what is happening when the students are having academic and discipline
problems. Likewise, Adriana is always showing interest in their students’ feelings and
giving them advices. She has been an example of behavior for many of her students, not
only for her words but her actions. Finally, they both are very loved by their students.
Edelmira was my favorite teacher in high school; she is so cute and the students tend to
have her as their favorite one. In the same way, Adriana is my favorite teacher in the
university, she is an integral person and his kindness is one of her most attractive
characteristics.

toward money.

loves to buy. They are important, however, I prefer to spend money buying things
that I just want, things like sun glasses, candies, travels and so on; clothes and
shoes are things that my parents can buy for me. Another difference is the way we
save money. He saves almost all the money he receives from my parents every
day. But I never developed the habit of saving money; I just spend the money I
receive. We differ in the way we spend money with the others.
