Instruction for applying challenge-evaluation

1. A candidate shall be entitled to have his / her answer-books Challenge evaluated on

payment of a fee of Rs. 2500 /- per answer book, subject to the following conditions :

(i) Application for Challenge evaluation must reach in the university within 15 days from the
date on which the result of Regular / Re-appear / Re-evaluation is declared by the
university along with fee of Rs. 2500 /- per subject.

(ii) For the purpose of computing the prescribed time limit of 15 days. The date of issue of
the university notification for the result declaration shall be taken as the date of its
commencement.

(iii) Each application must be accompanied by the prescribed non re-fundable fee of Rs.
2500 /- (per subject) which shall be remitted by the bank draft drawn in favour of the
Registrar, Punjab Technical University, Jalandhar and made payable at jalandhar or in
cash at the University counter.

(iv) In case an application of a candidate for challenge evaluation of his/her answer-book is

received in the office after 15 days from the date of declaration of his result, his/her
application shall be rejected and fee, if received, shall not be refunded to him.

(v) The results of Challenge evaluation as per regulations of the University shall be final and
binding to all concerned.

(vi) Any incorrect information like subject title, subject code, marks obtained, %age marks
etc. shall invalidate this form and fee shall not be refundable.

2. The process of challenge evaluation is applicable for the following cases only.

(a) The student can apply for the challenge evaluation directly who have got less than
25% marks in the concerned theory subject in which he wants to apply for
challenge evaluation.

(b) The student who have got equal to or more than 25% marks they have to apply first
for re-evaluation and if they are not satisfied with the result of re-evaluation then,
only they can apply for challenge evaluation after the declaration of result of re-
evaluation (within 15 days).

(c) If any candidate who has got more than 25% marks in concerned subject, he/she
cannot directly (without applying for re-evaluation first) apply for challenge
evaluation, his/her application shell be rejected.
