The reason why the project E-Bridge to mobility was
created came mainly from observing the EU labour
market and analysis of the needs of Eastern Europe
emigrants (especially those from Bulgaria, Poland,
Romania and Slovakia). They are moving from one EU
country to another (especially to England, Germany,
Spain) for educational, financial or social reasons.

E-bridge has a message

As the authors of e-bridge program, we would like to participate in an European mission being increase
in the possibility to make use of the occupational mobility of the Europeans. We are aware that the great-
est initiative in this respect is shown by young people (up to 25 years old) and people more than 65 years
old. The challenges involved with the labor market make us adapt to it in a more faster and flexible way.
E-bridge project supports professional, geographical and educational mobility.

We support people who change the place of residence for the purpose of searching for a different workplace, cul-
tural area or possibility of additional education. We focus on collecting any, necessary for all mobile Europeans, le-
gal, administrative information and this related to the everyday life, so that each of you would have least problems
with adaptation to a new cultural environment. Apart from a complex guide describing principles of movement in
a particular country, as well as principles prevailing on the European labor market, we offer you language courses
that, apart from issues related to education, will contain also data related to culture and customs of a given country.
Didactic materials will be available in three languages: German, English and Spanish. Material will be translated into 4
languages (Bulgarian, Polish, Romanian, Slovakian). The course prepares for communication in a given language with
regard to the most important aspects of daily life.

THAT IS HOW IT BEGAN
A common vision and development of
the project results in the fact that we, as
partners, must cooperate closely when
developing all its products. Our meet-
ing in March 2009 was an excellent op-
portunity to get to know co-partners
and become familiar with the range of
activities of each of them. We met in the
seat of the Higher School of Computer
Science, Management and Administra-
tion in Warsaw. One of more important
aspects of our meeting was rethinking
of the most effective methods of dif-
fusing and promoting the project. To
reach the possibly broadest group for
which the project is intended, we had
to determine the target precisely.
Representatives of each partner pre-
sented scope of operations of our
units. Then a true brainstorm began.
We reached a conclusion that each
foreigner, apart from problems with
knowledge of foreign languages, is
looking for a very important infor-
mation concerning culture of a given
country. An attempt to find one’s
feet in a new, moreover international
environment, creates for most of us
a barrier which even before a depar-
ture should be broken to the possibly
greatest extent.
During the discussion a following ques-
tion has arisen: How to reach our target
public, which truly needs support with
regard to the occupational and life
mobility. We have stated that we will
contact institutions, such as employ-
ment agencies, institutions mediating
in search for jobs that have a possibil-
ity to spread information among peo-
ple to whom the project is addressed.
We have decided that the course will
be available only on-line, moreover, it
is necessary to prepare computer soft-
ware that will make it possible to use
course elements by means of different
models of mobile phones. This gives a
huge comfort to students who need to
use course elements in an unexpected
life situation.
Our meeting has resulted in a common
vision of the project and has been a fac-
tor motivating to a mutual support in
any activities, so that e-bridge recipients
would be satisfied and could make their
dreams of professional and life mobility
come true.

in a language, including CV writing
i Preparations to departures – discussion of basic issues related to
departure, discussion of necessary documents
i Travel – presentation of specific communication methods, (among
others,) detailed animation presenting the process of clearance and
conduct at the airport
i Methods of searching for information – ways of searching
for information in a particular country (Internet, newspapers,
institutions)
i Labor market – presentation of the specific nature of the labor
market in a particular country
i Education – presentation of principles of using educational services,
namely: where, who and on what terms may learn; how to raise
professional qualifications
i Business – presentation of methods and ways of establishing
business contacts
i Apartments – where and how find an apartment, how to enter into a
contract
i Offices and officers – list of the most important offices and matters
that can be dealt in them
For the teaching purposes, WEB 2.0 type tools
will be used. Not only is our design a simple
information, but also a community cooperat-
ing for a superior purpose. We want to encour-
age users that our materials in audio and video
form, concerning occupational mobility, in-
spire all persons using the project to exchange
experience and opinions concerning the oc-
cupational mobility. We will create an e-com-
munity (Wiki) bound with a language course,
which will discuss and exchange information
concerning the most important issues: depar-
ture, work, offices, everyday life. Wiki will have
four language versions (Bulgarian, Polish, Ro-
manian, Slovak).
Every partner will be responsible for creation of a
blog (each of the partners will wrote a blog in its
mother tongue). A primary function of the blog
will be information related to the labor market
in a particular country, formalities and anything,
which is worth knowing when we think about
changing place of work and residence.
