ABSENCE POLICIES

Hours of Operation/Work Schedules

Starting Time: 09:00 am and Ending Time: 6:00 pm. Certain employees may be assigned to
different work schedules and/or shifts outside of normal office hours. If an employee must be
outside of the office for non-business related reasons during their normal work schedule,
they should inform their manager. Timely attendance at work is crucial for making the
business run smoothly.

Punctuality requirements

Employees are expected to be at their work stations on time. You should also notify the
appropriate person when you know you may become late for work. Being on time makes it
easier for all of us because tardiness hinders teamwork among employees. Being tardy for
work or leaving the job station before quitting time will be considered cause for corrective
action.

Counting absences

Here are the rules for how absences will be counted:

 All the employees have to punch their ID cards while entering into and going out of
the office irrespective of in-out number. Besides, entrance door cannot be opened for
anyone with the switch excepting top management of the organization. Moreover,
this card punching data is extremely important for security measures also. Attending
office without card punching is considered as Absence.
 An unscheduled absence for at least one-half the workday will be counted as one
occurrence.
 Late will be considered up to 30 min of starting time.
 Delay more than 30 minutes in attending office is considered as Late.
 One day salary will be deducted for any three days late in a month.
 Any unauthorized absence shall lead to disciplinary action.
 In case sudden sickness reported to the HOD accordingly shall be counted as absent
until leave is approved.

Employees are expected to be at work and to work a full workweek, except for authorized
leave. Authorized leave include the following:

 Leave as per leave policy.


 Time off for a workers’ compensation injury
 A death in your family
 Emergency situations beyond your control
Notification procedure of Unavoidable Failure of Card Punching/ Absence/ Late:

To obtain an authorized absence,


 You have to SMS to both HOD and HR.
 Call in, where possible, and let the appropriate person know with the precise reason
that you are unable to punch the card or come to work. The call should be made, if
possible, no later than your regular starting time.
 Any absence approved by HOD will be count as leave and then that leave will be
approved by HR accordingly.

Failure to Card punching or notify

 Without card punching management may lead to disciplinary action as and when
required.
 Without notification any absence or late may lead to disciplinary action as and when
required.
