Sailfish women’s tennis fights hard

Nationally ranked No. 36 on the board, Palm
Beach Atlantic University’s women’s tennis
team went up against the Northwood Timber-
wolves on March 30.
The Timberwolves overtook the Sailfish, end-
ing with a final score of 6-3. Northwood would
take two of the three doubles while the Sailfish
earned singles wins at the top and bottom re-
spectively.
Two of PBA’s Sailfish players, Jessica Whar-
ton and Jordan Ittersagen, joined together for a
win at No. 2 doubles. They both fought hard for
a successful 8-2 win. Krishna Domenech and
Victoria Baca, also determined to win, each had
solid plays as singles.
Baca came out with a score of 6-3, 6-3 at No.
1. Domenech dominated her opponent at No. 6
with a 6-0, 6-2 win.
The women’s tennis team drops to a record of
11-9 for the season. The Sailfish were to play on
Thursday, March 31 against Lindenwood Uni-
versity in Kissimmee, Florida. For results, go to

Sailfish women’s club lacrosse team
competed in a weekend tournament
against the University of Miami on
Saturday, March 26, and Florida At-
lantic University on Sunday, March
27. The Sailfish came out very strong
at the start of the UM game by scor-
ing three goals instantly. The first goal
was scored within the first 46 seconds.
“The girls played a really good game,
no matter if we were losing,” said coach
Emily Seeman. The Sailfish lost with a
final score of 8 - 14. During the game
against FAU, the team battled with
more than just their opponents - the
heat. Regardless, the Sailfish played an
intense game during the first half with
