FOREWORD
SCOPE.
This pocket guide is designed for field use, and covers
basic tasks necessary to use the DAGR in the Basic
operating mode only. The user is provided essential tasks
in abbreviated format along with related graphics where
applicable. For more detailed information (including
TO/TM references throughout manual), the user should
refer to the DAGR Operation and Maintenance Technical
Manual. Help text can be accessed when shown on the
display.
GPS OPERATION.
The NAVSTAR Global Positioning System (GPS) is a
space-based navigation and timing system made up of
multiple satellites, a ground control system, and any
number of navigation sets. The DAGR collects and
processes satellite signals to provide position, velocity,
and time (PVT) information, along with position reporting
and navigation capabilities.

defining a line not to be crossed, or mine field area).
• Anchor - Circular area defined by a radius from a
waypoint. Activates when outside a defined radius.
• Hazard - Circular area defined by a radius from a
waypoint. Activates when inside a defined radius.
• Buffer Zone - Rectangular area defined by two
waypoints. Prevents the user from entering a defined
area.
• Corridor - Rectangular area defined by two waypoints.
