About me
I have nine years of experience in the media in several capacities. I've worked as a reporter, feature writer, freelance
journalist, sub-editor, and managing editor. I've worked in public relations and communications research fields. My goal
is to continue forging a path in news journalism and to establish myself as a leader in my field.

Experience
Writing fellow September, 2010 - Working in the writing center at
Boston University's College of Communication assisting students with their assignments at all levels of the creative
process.

Editor September, 2010 -


Working as the student editor alongside a faculty advisor on the Comment, Boston University's College of
Communication's annual postgraduate publication. I was involved in all creative and practical decisions.

Analyst April, 2009 to July, 2010


Working as a media analyst for MC McNamara Research, a public relations research firm, researching and writing reports
for a wide range of companies in both public and private sectors. I was coordinating research objectives with
communications and marketing departments, communicating with clients to set benchmarks, strategies and goals
for media performance.

Managing the Media Monitors’ database of media contacts, monitoring and remaining abreast of moves in the media
industry, helping to facilitate the accurate flow of targeted information from companies through to relevant media outlets.

For 2004, and most of 2005: providing intelligent and stimulating articles for Salient magazine on a weekly basis. From
the end of 2005: Setting a creative agenda and tone for the magazine week by week as Managing Editor, managing and
employing a range of staff, working with advertisers, financial management, as well as continuing to publish regular
feature articles.
