Getting the Heart of Parenting:
Attention GCF Parents, we will be having an afternoon seminar on parenting on
Saturday, May 7th at church from 1pm to 5pm. We will be having childcare at the
church. See P. Heath for more details.
About Getting to the Heart of Parenting:
Parenting is more than using your power to get children to behave in certain
ways. Parenting is all about the exposure and change of the child's heart. When
the heart of a child changes the behavioral change that is needed will last. This
will be a great conference for parents raising children from age toddler through
teen. We will be learning how to be God’s instrument of Gospel change in our
child’s heart.
What would be discussed and taught?
We will be watching four segments (each about 25 minutes long) of a DVD
curriculum, Getting to the Heart of Parenting, by Paul David Tripp and also
discussing their contents in small groups.

Summer Mission Trip:
The dates for this summer’s mission trip are July 13th – 23rd. Once again, we’ll be
working with SOS Ministries ministering to orphans, encouraging pastors &
elders, leading a youth conference, partnering with wonderful El Salvadorian and
Honduran churches, and much more. This trip is open to both teens and adults.
The cost of the trip is $700 plus airfare. See P. Heath for details.

Joi n up with One of G CF’s Bible Study Groups:
Becoming involved in a Bible study group is so beneficial to our spiritual growth.
Not only do we benefit by encountering God through his taught word, we are also
blessed as we converse and interact with others. To this end, we provide several
weekly Bible studies, which are open to all, several times a week. (For additional
Bible Study groups see our website or ministry table area in the sanctuary.)
Reform - Adult Sunday School Class:
The goal of this Sunday morning class is to experience the transforming power of
God’s Word as it reforms our hearts & minds for the glory of God. “Reform” meets
on Sundays @ 9:30am (during the 1st service). This class is open to all and you can
join us anytime. The Starbucks coffee is always fresh!
Tuesday Morning Romans Bible Study:
Join Pastor Randy every Tuesday morning for a verse by verse study through the
book of Romans. The Bible study is open to all.
Wednesday Night Bible Study:
Our Wednesday night Bible studies (see below) begin at 7pm and end at 8:30pm.
These conversational and in-depth Bible studies are meant to inform our minds
and strengthen our faith. Our Student Ministry youth groups meet during the
same time and we also have a wonderful children’s program so it’s a great night
for the whole family.
Theology on Tap:
Theology on Tap meets every Wednesday night after the Wednesday Night Bible
Study (9pm) at Your Pizza Shop - 1200 8th Ave SW Largo, FL - to discuss Christian
theology, culture, and missional living. The discussion topic for each week is
posted on the Theology on Tap Facebook Page (find us!).

Mark your calendars for our next Phaino: An Evening of Worship which will be on
May 1st. “Phaino” comes from the Greek word φαίνω which means to shine, or to
give light, or to bring light. Every Phaino has its own theme and its own distinct
worship experience geared to challenged us to phaino (shine) forth the Gospel of
Christ as we share and show the love of God to those around us.
Our theme for Sunday, May 1st is “Unplugged and In the Light.” We hope to have
you and your family joins us from 6pm to 7:30pm. Children are encouraged to
come and participate with their parents.
