Вступление

Пособие "I CAN READ" состоит из 2-х частей. Каждая часть подразделяется на «юниты»
(1 часть - 9 юнитов, 2 часть - 5 юнитов.) Один юнит соответствует одному аудиоуроку. В
кюннте» 4 урока (3 рабочих урока и 1 - контрольный). Целью учебного процесса является
обучение чтению на английском языке и дальнейшее развитие навыков аудирования и
говорения, приобретенных в результате обучения по пособиям 1 ступени"! CAN SPEAK".

Результаты обучения
К концу 2 ступени дети используют в игровых и речевых ситуациях:
- утвердительные, вопросительные и отрицательные предложения во временах
Present Simple, Present Progressive;
- специальные вопросы, начинающиеся с What, When, Where, Why, How;
- порядковые числительные 1-100;
- лич:ные и притяжательные местоимения;
- существительные в единственном и во множественном числе;
- сравнительную и превосходную степень прилагательных;
- исчисляемые и неисчисляемые существительные;
- около 450 (из них 200 - новых) лексических единиц;
- около 60 (из них 20-новых) разговорных фраз.
год дети разучивают 22 песенки и усваивают рецептивно большой объем материала,
изучение которого им предстоит в следующем году.

Работа учителя на второй ступени отличается от таковой на 1 ступени только тем, что
ха:жды:й подробно расписанный урок по развитию устно-речевых навыков длится не более
минут. В оставшиеся 10-15 минут учитель обучает чтению.

Особенности работы по обучению чтению

Учитывая тот факт, что дети в возрасте до 9 лет обучаются чтению не по правилам, а
ю аналогии, мы предлагаем оригинальную технологию цветочтения. В текстах,
составленных по принципу цветочтения, все буквы читаются так, как они пишутся (см.
'()С:ООИе для ребенка "I CAN READ Цветочтение"), Например, все желтые буквы читаются,
нейтральный звук, белые буквы не читаются вообще. Красные гласные читаются, как в
открытом слоге, черные - как в закрьпом. Красные {th} и { s} читаются звонко, черные -
:rnyxo, жирные {ch} и {sh} выделяются как сочетания, жирные гласные читаются долго,
тонкие - кратко и т.д. Часть слов представлена в зеленом цвете. Прочтение этих слов
выучнвается целиком.

Техника цветочтения также помогает детям научиться визуально выделять в словах


оух:восочетания. Так, например, {th} дается сначала в красном (т.е. звонком) варианте, и дети
- стро приучаются видеть его как отдельное сочетание. Или, например, в слове евg1е ( е -
ная; а - белая; gl - черные; е - белая) дети сразу замечают сочетание {еа} и легко

запоминают, что вторая буква в нем не читаетеа,
несколько слов с этим буквосочетанием.
Таким образом, чтение текста в цветном варванте ~~а
и позволяет детям сразу читать правильно даже те слова, .к:ошр.ые !ICi:;,eчaaJlCX.
Благодаря этому, количество исправлений сводится к мив:иwуиу.

При составлении пособия "I CAN READ" мы опирались на иетолячеезве принципы,
подробно описанные в пособии "I CAN SРЕАК". Но, разумеется, обучение чгенню имеет
свои специфические особенности.

Методические принципы обучения чтению

1. Принцип комфортности.
Для того чтобы дети чувствовали себя комфортно на занятиях, они должны:
- не уrомляться;
- быть раскованными;
- сохранять заинтересованность.
Этому способствует замена цели процессом. Что это значит? Хотя в этом возрасте
познавательный мотив уже выходит на передний план, по-прежнему одной из ведущих форм
деятельности остается игровая. Учитывая напряженный график занятий детей, и как
результат, повышенную их утомляемость, можно с уверенностью сказать, что любой из них
предпочтет игровую форму деятельности учебной. Поэтому в нашем пособии почти все
задания носят игровой характер: ребенок воспринимает цель каждого задания как
выполнение некоего игрового действия, в процессе которого он просто использует уже
имеющиеся у него навыки чтения.
2. Принцип погружения в языковую среду.
Пособие "1 CAN READ" является 2 ступенью комплекта "I LOVE ENGLISH" и логическим
продолжением курсов "I CAN SING" (О ступень) и "I CAN SРЕАК" (1 ступень). Дети,
обучавшиеся по этим пособиям, привыкли к тому, что уроки полностью ведутся на
английском языке и легко осваивают чтение без перехода на родной язык, поскольку весь
языковой материал многократно ими проговаривался. Если же ребенок не занимался по
данным пособиям ранее, учителю необходимо предварять каждый урок чтения введением и
отработкой материала в устной форме.
3. Принцип развития креативных способностей.
В пособии дано большое количество разнообразных заданий, опираясь на которые ребенок
может создать и свои собственные. Так, например, задания типа "Создай свой кроссворд и
обменяйся с товарищем по парте" - всегда пользуются большой популярностью у детей.
4. Принцип естественного обучения,
Не секрет, что, обучаясь по некоторым пособиям, дети либо испытывают трудности при
обучении чтению, либо, умея читать, не в состоянии бывают понять прочитанное. Это
связано с тем, что материал, на котором отрабатывается чтение, недостаточно хорошо
знаком детям. Мы обучаем чтению только на хорошо знакомом языковом материале и, таким
образом, способствуем формированию функционального чтения, т.е. чтения с извлечением
информации.
Этому способствует также развитие навыка чтения пре себя с выполневвем заданий,
необходимых для контроля понимания прочитанного. Это такие задания, как "Don't forget!",

5. Принцип активизации основных каналов восприятия,
-Визуальный канал несет основную нагрузку при обучении чтению. В пелп ад~;ш:вя
комфортных и эффективных условий для обучения, необходимо перводвчеезв ~чать

внимание ребенка с ближнего плана (чтение пособия) на дальний (чтение с доски, со стендов
и т.д.) и наоборот.
- Аудиальный канал включается при чтении вслух.
- Кинестетический канал развивается в упражнениях "Look ", "T-cards ", "Ее! 's make {Ь]"

Общий план проведения уроков по чтению

Все мини-уроки по обучению чтению ведутся по одному общему плану.


1. Подготовительный этап, на котором вводятся и закрепляются буквы, части слов,
отдельные слова или даже фразы. Этот этап включает в себя:
- введение и повторение букв и их сочетаний (Stand);
- разминку (Look);
- определение букв на ощупь (T-cards);
- прочтение зеленых слов (Green).
2. Чтение учебника в цветном варианте (Вооk).
3. Чтение в черно-белом варианте (5 flags).
4. Чтение про себя (Silent).
5. Проверка домашнего задания (H-task).
В пособии "Цветочтение" все эти задания даются на русском языке. Урок же учитель
должен вести, не выходя из языковой среды. Вкратце поясним, как следует работать по
каждому из пунктов.
Stand.
Новые буквы представляются так: "Тhis is ВЬ ( произносится звук [Ь], а не название
буквы). What words begin with (Ь]?" - "...Ьоу, bag, bear... " (дети называют слова, глядя на
букву, после этого буква устанавливается на стенде.) - "Now, pretend you are [Ь]." (дети
изображают букву со словами: "I'm [Ь]".) Есть буквы, с которых не начинаются знакомые
детям слова. Например, {х} или желтая {е}. Их просто называют и ставят на стенд. По
поводу желтых (ж) и белых (6) букв учитель сразу делает оговорку: "When we see а yellow
etter we say [~]". "When we see а white letter we don't say anything, like fish!" Для облегчения
работы учителя рекомендуем условно разделить стенд на 3 части. В нижнюю часть со
временем отправлять буквы, которые дети успешно усвоили. Как правило, к ним учитель в
дальнейшем уже не возвращается. Но если вдруг кто-то из детей часто начинает спотыкаться
об одну и ту же, казалось бы, давно знакомую букву, ее переносят в среднюю часть стенда до
полного усвоения. В средней части стенда находятся буквы, уже введенные на предыдущих
занятиях. Именно с ними идет основная часть работы. Можно предложить следующие
упражнения:
-Now, Гll show you а letter and you will name it.
-1~ow, Гll say а word and you will find the firSt (last) letter of tbe word and show it to tbe class.
Верхняя часть стенда предназначена для только что введенных букв и их сочетаний. Таким
образом, буквы, представленные в таблице, помещаются на верхнюю часть стенда. На
следующем уроке они перемещаются в среднюю часть, а их место занимают новые и т.д.
В пособии "Цветочтение" эти буквы представлены на странице 8 и закрашиваются по
:ере прохождения материала. Если на уроке времени на закрашивание не остается, это
задание дается на дом.
Look.
В данной части таблицы представлены буквы, которые учитель должен
предварительно развесить по классу на соответствующих им предметах. Например, буква t
ожег находиться на столе (tаЫе), буква l - на лампе (lamp) и т.д. Разминка проводится
едующим образом: "Stand up! Look around! Where is [n]?" - "lt is оп the таз!" Дети ищут
букву и указывают на нее. С каждым уроком количество букв прибавляется. Старые буквы
не снимаются. С 3-его юнита разминку могут проводить сами ученики, а с 5-ого юнита она
ожет не проводиться вовсе. Это задание помогает детям выучить прочтение строчных букв.

В пособии "Цветочтение" рисунки, которые обозваqаюr CiI03il., :Е:l"!2еаницяеся на эти
буквы, даны на страницах 6-7. Дети вписывают строчные 6уХ3Ы 3 :E;ryXDЧIOt по мере
прохождения материала.
T-cards.
Эти карточки легко изготавливаются из картона и важдачной О}'КаПI.
картонных квадратов со стороной примерно 6 см. Из наждачной б}']iШ11 вырежьте строчные
буквы. Приклейте каждую букву по центру картонки, а в нижнем правm,1 упу приклейте
соответствующую картинку. Работа с карточками особенно полезна ДШ[ слабых детей.
Поэтому ее можно рекомендовать для дополнительной работы с отстающвмн детьми вне
урока. Для работы в классе предлагаем следующие упражнения:
-Учитепь подходит к ученику, сидящему с края, достает первую карточку, проводит
пальцем по шершавой букве, имитируя ее написание, и говорит: "Тhis is [Ь], Ьезr. Now, you
аге the teacher! Teach your friend!" Ученик, поворачиваясь к своему соседу к проводя пальцем
по букве, повторяет слова учителя и т.д. Убедившись в том, что дети правильно поняли
задание и не забывают проводить пальцем по букве, учитель дает ребенку следующую
карточку. Таким образом, пройдя через весь класс, карточки собираются у последнего
ученика.
- Учитель раскладывает карточки на столе так, чтобы они были видны всем детям.
"Соше up to тпе, Alex! Shut your eyes! 1'11 give you а card and you will guess what letter it is!"
Учитель выбирает карточку, показывает ее классу и дает ученику, который должен на ощупь
определить, что за буква на карточке. Дети могут играть в «телепатов», молча «посылая»
усилием волн подсказку в голову водящего.
Надо помнить о том, что буквы, звучащие по разному, использовать нельзя, т.к. цвет
невозможно определить на ощупь. Поэтому мы предлагаем для этой игры только черные
буквы: Ь, d, f, h, k, 1, m, n, р, q, t, v, w, х, z. В целях экономии времени на уроках играйте
только с теми буквами, запоминание которых представляет сложность для детей.
Green.
Зеленые буквы, слова или фразы формируют привыкание глаза ребенка к тому, что
одни и те же буквы могут читаться по-разному. Так, например, к тому времени как дети
начинают читать слова с буквой Ее в открытом и закрытом слогах (8-ой юнит), они уже
умеют читать зеленые слова secret и guess.
Зеленые слова лучше всего держать на отдельном стенде. Прочитываются они на
каждом уроке по одному разу подряд и по одному разу вразброс. Их количество с каждым
уроком увеличивается. Но, по мере того как ученики, усваивая материал уроков, учатся
читать слова в черном варианте, соответствующие зеленые слова убираются со стенда.
Например, в 6-ом юните дети начинают читать слова not и оп в ряду других черных слов,
поэтому их зеленый вариант убирается со стенда. В пособии "Цветочтение" все эти слова
представлены на странице 9 и закрашиваются по мере прохождения материала. Если на
уроке времени на закрашивание не остается, это задание дается на дом.
Book.
Цветной текст на левой странице разворота в пособии "Цветочгение" читается на
уроке вслух. Обратите внимание детей на то, что при возникновении затруднений в
прочтении домашнего задания, данного в черно-белом варианте, они могут обратиться к этой
части урока и найти сложное слово в цветном варианте, что облегчит его прочтение.
5flags.
Набор слов для каждого урока представлен под. цветным текстом и полностью
повторяет лексику, прочитанную ранее детьми в учебнике, а также включает в себя слова
домашнего задания. Учитель предлагает детям: "Сап you read these words? Look! I have 5
flags! I'll give you 1 flag for every right word! Begin, Nick!" По мере того как ученик читает
слова, учитель откладывает по одному флажку за каждое прочитанное слово. Если пять слов
подряд прочитаны верно, учитель говорит: "Good! You've got 5 flags!" Если ученик читает
слово с ошибкой: "I'm sorry! Уou failed!" и все флажки забираются. Опрашивается весь класс.

Флажки можно заменить лесенкой, или пирамидкой или просто пятью пальцами. После того,
как ребенок прочел 5 слов подряд правильно, он закрашивает один «флажок», «цветок» и т.д.
в пособии "Цветочтение", Чем больше картинок закрашено, тем лучше.
Siknt
На этом этапе с целью формирования навыка функционального чтения, мы обучаем
детей чтению про себя. Для разнообразия предлагаем 3 основные игры, каждая из которых
расположена в нижней левой части разворота пособия "Цветочтение" .
Don'tforget! Слова выписываются на обычный лист бумаги А-4 в беспорядке. Учитель
держит лист тыльной стороной к детям: "Now, I'll show you some words! Read them! Вш don't
read them aloud! Pretend you are fish. Read them silently (жест). And don't forget them! Try to
rememЬer them all." Учитель разворачивает лист на несколько секунд, дает детям
возможность прочесть слова, затем прячет его: "So, what have you read?" Дети вспоминают
слова. За каждое слово получают по флажку. Затем считают, у кого больше. После того, как
дети вспомнили все слова, лист вновь разворачивается лицевой стороной к детям, и все слова
прочитываются вслух. Если дети не могут вспомнить одно или больше слов, учитель может
дать им еще один шанс, на 2-3 секунды повернув к ним лист. При использовании пособия
"Цветочтение" слова после прочтения закрываются ладонью, после дефиса вписывается то
количество слов, которое ребенок вспомнил.
Cross out. В каждом 2-м уроке юнита представлены 3 набора, состоящие из 3-4-х слов,
одно из которых выпадает из общего ряда. Учитель предлагает детям найти это слово: "Look
at the words, read them silently, find one wrong word and cross it ош." Дети читают про себя все
слова и называют только одно - лишнее. Учитель комментирует: ''Тhat's right! "Кill" and "dig"
аге actions (things, qualities, names, animals, colours, toys, clothes...) and "Dill"is not an action. lt
is а name."
6 зетепсез. Предложения выписываются на доску или на бумагу так, чтобы каждое из
них находилось на отдельной строке (не переносилось). Картинки, иллюстрирующие эти
предложения, даны в нижней правой части разворота пособия "Цветочтение". Их можно
скачать на сайте i-love-english.ru и увеличить. Учитель: "Now, pretend you аге fish. Read the
sentences silently and find the proper pictures!" Учитель дает детям возможность прочесть
предложения, затем показывает на картинку № 1 и спрашивает: "So, where is sentence number
1 ?'' Дети находят и прочитывают его. Облегченный вариант той же игры: "Read sentence
number 1 silently. Where is the proper picture?" - "Number 3."
H-task.
Имейте в виду, что программа составлена таким образом, что выполнение домашнего
задания не представляет для детей большого труда, поскольку все слова прочитываются на
соответствующем уроке. Поэтому следите за тем, чтобы дети регулярно выполняли
домашнее задание, не откладывая все на контрольный урок. Для этого обязательно
проверяйте выполнение заданий на каждом уроке хотя бы у 2-3 детей в группе. Задание
считается сданным, если ребенок не только правильно его выполнил (т.е. нарисовал), но и
может бегло его прочитать. Ни в коем случае нельзя выполнять в классе все пункты
домашнего задания. Это каждый ученик должен делать самостоятельно дома. При проверке
домашнего задания, в целях экономии времени на уроке, длинные диалоги могут читать
двое.
Инвентарь, необходимый для занятий

В принципе, все необходимое для занятий есть в пособии "Цветочтение". Но для того,
чтобы мини-уроки по обучению чтению проходили легче, учителю желательно подготовить
следующие наглядные пособия.
1. Stand. Для отработки буква-звуков удобно пользоваться стендом с прозрачными
кармашками, который постоянно находится в поле зрения детей. Этот стенд легко
изготовить самостоятельно, если у вас есть под рукой кусок плотного картона (примерно
100 см х 100 см), скотч и несколько папок из прозрачного пластика. Из папок вырезают

полосы максимальной длины, шириной, примерно, 5 04
приклеиваются к картону по 3-м сторонам (слева, справа и снизу), так, чтобы получились
кармашки. Желательно расположить кармашки на стенде в 5 рядов, Верхний ряд - для
новых, вводимых на данном уроке букво-звуков; 3 средних ряда - д:;111 тех, с которыми идет
основная работа; нижний - для хорошо усвоенных, к которым в ходе урока уже не
обращаются.
При индивидуальной работе репетитора с ребенком подобный стенд, но гораздо
меньших размеров, ребенок может смастерить самостоятельно.
2. Letters for the stand. Букво - звуки к стенду распечатываются на компьютере (весь
печатный материал, необходимый для подготовки к урокам, можно распечатать с сайта
www.i-love-english.ru) или пишутся от руки на плотной бумаге размером 8х8 см.
3. Smal/ letters. Строчные буквы выписываются на карточки размером 6х6 см. Их
учитель развешивает по классу. Эти карточки используются для разминки "Look around".
4. T-cards. Карточки (T-cards) изготавливают следующим образом: из картона
вырезают прямоугольники 5х5 см. Из наждачной бумаги вырезают строчные буквы. Затем
буквы наклеивают на картонные основы. Под каждой буквой можно нарисовать или
приклеить картинку, начинающуюся с этой буквы.
5. Green words. Все зеленые слова вывешиваются на отдельный стенд. Высота
карточек - примерно 5 см.
6. 5 jlags. 5 флажков лучше всего вырезать из цветной пластиковой папки. Слова,
данные в таблице, распечатываются на компьютере или пишутся от руки на доске или на
бумаге так, чтобы размер букв был не меньше ЗхЗ см.
7. Don 't forget. Слова выписываются в беспорядке (можно под разным наклоном) на
лист А-4.
8. 6 зетепсез, Картинки-илтострации для игры 6 sentences даны в пособии
"Цветочтение", Сами предложения выписываются на доске или крупно на бумаге. Отдельно
можно приготовить 6 карточек с цифрами от 1 до 6, которые дети могут прикреплять к
соответствующим картинкам.
9. Cross out. Каждый набор слов выписывается на отдельный лист бумаги А-4 в
столбик. .__
Контрольные уроки
Как и в устном курсе "1 CAN SРЕАК", в пособии "1 CAN READ" каждый 4 урок -
контрольный. К этому уроку дети выполняют задания для контрольного урока (Rhyme, Half
Minute Text, Writing Practice) и домашние задания (Task), которые не успели проверить в
течение недели. Стих считается сданным, если ребенок прочитывает его без ошибки и тут
же, закрыв ладонью, воспроизводит наизусть. "Half Minute Text" считается сданным, если
ребенок успевает прочесть его за полминуты, исправляя за это время и ошибки, которые ему
указывает учитель.
Все отметки о выполнении задания заносятся в лист (Record list) на странице 5
детского пособия. Детям более старшей возрастной группы (8-9 лет) можно проставлять в
ячейки оценки, детям более младшего возраста мы рекомендуем лишь депатъ отметки о
выполнении задания, например, рисовать в ячейке сердечко и расписываться.

Часть 1
Первая часть пособия "I CAN READ" состоит из 9-ти "юнитов" (3 рабочих урока + 1
контрольный урок в каждом юните) и рассчитана соответственно на 27 рабочих и 9
контрольных уроков по 40 минут каждый, из которых 25-30 минут отводится на обучение
устно-речевым навыкам, 10-15-на чтение.

Грамматической темой первой части является форма глаголов 3-го лица единственного числа

Аудирование глаголов
Третья ступень обучения пр@ДПОЛIU'&П большую работу с глаголами, поэтому часть
глаголов необходимо провудировать во 2-ой части второй ступени. В первую очередь, это
глаголы, которыми учитель часто пользуется на уроках: understand. win, lose, think, show,
споозе, сап, say. Предлагаем мвксимаяьне использовать эти глаголы в следующих ситуациях:

Understand. Задавая вопросы, дети часто допускают ошибки. Если при этом вопрос теряет
смысл, учителю следует СК1"1ТЬ: "What do you mean? 1 don't understand you!"

Think. В начале урока, говоря о погоде, учитель должен сделать ударение на то, что одна и
та же погода по мнению одних может быть плохой, а по мнению других - хорошей. Каждый
раз, когда ученик высказывает свое мнение о погоде, учитель говорит: So, you think that the
weather is fine, and I think that it is nasty, because it is snowing (not warm ...) and I don't like snow!
What do you think? Слово think сопревеждается жестом: указательный палец у лба.

Choose. Раздавая карточки лото, учитель предлагает: «Choose any card you like!»

Win. Еове. Организовывая соревновательные игры с использованием двусторонней


лесенки, рекомендуем давать командам названия из текущей лексики и периодически по
мере продвижения команд по лесенке обращаться к классу с вопросом: Who is winning? Who
is losing? На примере 1-oro юнита это может выглядеть следующим образом: При игре в
репортеров учитель предлагает микрофоны мальчику и девочке и говорит: You аге the
Queen! You are the Кing! С этими словами учитель ставит картинки "King" и "Оцееп" на
нижние ступени лесенки. Обращаясь к одному из учеников: «What do you think, who will win
(lose)? -1 think, the Кing. - And I think, the Queen will win!» После каждого заданного вопроса
учитель, поднимая соответствующую карточку, говорит: «Well done, King! (Well done,

Сап. Глагол постоянно звучит в фразах: «Сап you climb up the stairs? Сап you tel1 us about
this garden? Сап you read this word? Сап you smell spring?>> и т.д.

Say. Фразу "We have said it!" учитель произносит каждый раз, когда дети повторяются.

Повторение
В течение 5-ти юнитов 2-ой части учитель должен организовать повторение учебного
