disciples of Jesus, Thomas was one who had difficulty believing in the resurrection. It took a great

resurrection! Jesus said to him, “Have you believed because you have seen Me? Blessed are those

who have not seen and yet have believed.” (John 20:29) Though we do not have the privilege of

His Real Presence in the Sacrament of the Altar where our faith receives all the gifts we cannot see

TODAY’S SUNDAY SCHOOL - In the learning the story of Stephen (Acts 6–7), the first
martyr, the children in Sunday School learned how we are crushed and enraged at the
accusations of the God’s Law, but the Gospel comes to bring peace and quietness with
the forgiveness of our sins. Talk with your children and point out that in church we hear
from the pastor the same Word of God that Stephen preached: “Lord, do not hold this sin
against them.”

SUNDAY BIBLE CLASS – Pastor Walter’s Bible Class meets at 9:45 a.m. each Sunday

MIRACLE LEAGUE BALL – Alex Roberts is again playing Miracle League ball on the
Twins team. The schedule is posted on the bulletin board by the Parlor.

MID-WEEK SERVICES - We have a Worship Service each Wednesday night at 7:00 p.m.
Each week’s theme follows the theme of the previous Sunday. Holy Communion is
celebrated on the second and fourth Wednesday. Please join us for worship.

THE MID-SOUTH DISTRICT SINGLES Fellowship Retreat is May 6-8, 2011 at


Lutheran Camp on Petit Jean. The theme is “Love One Another” based on John 13:34.

BELL CHOIR – CONCORDIA UNIVERSITY WISCONSIN - The Alleluia Ringers of


Concordia University Wisconsin will be presenting a concert of sacred and secular music
here at Grace. This group of 13 talented college students, under the direction of Dr. John
Behnke will use over 140 handbells and handchimes. In their 25 year history, The
Alleluia Ringers have performed throughout the United States, Germany, Norway,
Sweden, Estonia, and Lativa, plus played for two national handbell seminars. The music
will be fascinated to watch and inspiring to listen to them. Don’t miss this incredible
concert!
