* All sessions are from 3:30pm-5pm unless otherwise stated.


* You must sign up for a session that you wish to attend. Go to the Technology for Employees section on
the website to sign up for a session.
* Sessions with less than 5 participants signed up as of the day before a session may be cancelled.

Participants: Elementary/MS/HS Teachers

Participants will develop a project based learning activity that incorporates the
use of wikispaces by their students. Participants will develop a project that Elem.

involves research of various topics that are related to the overall main topic. Comp. Lab
Participants will be setting up a wikispace that is specific to the project their
students will be completing. Students will research their chosen or assigned
topic and then use the wikispace to store their information and/or complete the HS Comp.

tasks, project outcomes, and the rubric and/or scoring guide for assessing the
project and student effort.

assessments for their students to complete online. Some of the activities include 9am – 12pm Lab
book activities, lesson activities, group blogs, and collaborative writing spaces

During this session participants will learn about and practice integrating writing 9am – 12pm Comp. Lab
into other content areas while using an age appropriate web 2.0 tool to create
their digital story. Participants will create a writing piece in a given content area
and then choose the tool from a list to create the digital story. Jan. 24, 2012 – Elem.

Participants will create a podcast using a story they have written themselves. Oct. 27, 2011

After creating a practice podcast in order to learn how to use the software,
audacity, and participants will practice creating podcasts for students to listen to
as part of assessment pieces, study guides, or in general classroom lectures. Elem.

Participants will then brainstorm and develop an activity to use in their Comp. Lab
classroom.

Diigo – Online Bookmarking

Participants: All Staff Sept. 20, 2011
Comp. Lab
Creating bookmarks to share online resources with friends, coworkers, or your
students. Participants will learn how to create a bookmarking account so that no
matter what computer you are on, all of your bookmarks can be accessed from
the same location. Whenever a bookmark is stored, the user can add a
description to the bookmark, add tags to make searching easier, and share these Dec. 1, 2011 Elem.
bookmarks with others or with particular groups. After learning about your own Comp. Lab
account, participants will learn about creating student accounts so they can share
bookmarks with students and vice-versa to help with classroom projects.

Quizdom Clickers

Participants: Elementary/MS/HS Teachers


HS Comp.
Participants will learn how to create questions that integrate the Quizdom Feb. 1, 2012 Lab
Clickers into their classroom. After practicing using the clickers, the participants
will create a lesson that incorporates the various questions that can be answered
using the clickers.

Reflection Sessions

Participants: Elementary/MS/HS Teachers Comp. Lab

Participants attending one of these sessions must have attended a previous


working session where they created a specific activity and then implemented this
activity into their classroom. Now you will share that activity and materials with Elem.

On Demand Technology Training - One on One Learning


Participants: All Staff

Participants who choose this option would be giving up their time during the
day, to meet with the technology coach for one of the following options:
• Option 1: to learn technology skills that are necessary and specific to that Staff

These meetings must be at least 30 minutes in length and have at least 3


meetings with the technology coach. Participants who choose this option must
schedule the meetings with the technology coach in advance to ensure date
availability. This option can only be done once per teacher with a maximum of
1.5 hrs being earned.

Book Study (this earns the full 7.5 hrs required)

All participants must sign up by September 23, 2011 to allow time for books to
arrive. One meeting will be held after school for about 30 minutes after the
