A PERIOD OF RESTORATION

The entire chapter of Jeremiah 33 has been called the chapter of restoration, and I believe that is
exactly the period we are in – a period of restoration. We are told in Acts 3:19-21 “Therefore
repent and return, so that your sins may be wiped away, in order that times of refreshing
may come from the presence of the Lord; and that He may send Jesus, the Christ
appointed for you, whom heaven must receive until the period of restoration of all things
about which God spoke by the mouth of His holy prophets from ancient time” (Emphasis
Mine).

As stated in the text, God ordained that “times of refreshing” would come on those who repent
and return to the Lord – Christians. These times of refreshing can be seen in the various revivals,
renewals and spiritual awakenings the church has experience throughout her history. The Lord’s
dealings with man and the earth can be categorized into two; redemption and restoration. In His
first coming Jesus came to redeem us from sin and its consequences. Now that He is in heaven
He is restoring all things that were lost because of the Fall, through the church, the Body of
Christ. However, the ultimate restoration will be in the Lord’s second coming

As read also from the text, we are in the period of the restoration of all the things that God spoke
by the mouth of His holy prophets from ancient times. The prophets were used to prophesy both
His redemptive and restorative purposes. He came about 2000 years ago to fulfill His redemptive
purpose, and since then He is in the restoration business. God has sent us to the earth as His
ambassadors for this same purpose – He is restoring the rest of creation to Himself through the
church.

We are told that the rest of creation are earnestly waiting for the manifestation of the sons of God
(see Romans 8:19). A great liberation awaits the earth as we come forth in all that God called us
to be. The Church is the Body of Christ; God has called us to be labourers together with Him to
bring this purpose to pass. Regardless of how gloomy the earth seems today, the Lord’s purposes
are about to unfold in an unprecedented manner. We understand in Isaiah 60:1-2, that at the same
time that deep darkness will be sweeping the earth, the unprecedented glory of God will also be
coming forth in His people. We must not be perturbed by the darkness, it only makes the light
even brighter.

Like Job, when God restores all things the Church is going to be greater than she ever has – the
latter temple will have a greater glory than the former. We are told in 2 Peter 3:8 not to be
ignorant of the fact that God is able to do in a day what we think would take a thousand years,
and He is able to do in thousand years what we think would take a day. Church history is a clear
testimony to this; the church has witnessed the Lord do in a “thousand years” what many thought
would take a “day”, and we are in these times going to see the Lord do in one day what we now
think would take a thousand years.

A very important scripture I have been given as I have already hinted is Jeremiah 33. For this
reason, I am going to quote here the whole chapter verse by verse, and in parenthesis provide a
very brief explanation of each verse. I am going to make the explanation as brief as possible in
order to make room for you to have the freedom to receive understanding of what God would
speak to you as well concerning them. I am aware that when such long scriptural quotations are
given many people just gloss over them and do not read with the seriousness that is required.
Please, do take time to carefully read every single verse of this chapter. Nothing I write can
compare with the Scriptures. Read it.

“Then the word of the LORD came to Jeremiah the second time, while he was still confined in
the court of the guard, saying”, (Regardless what confinement God’s prophet, the Church is in
the Lord’s Word is going to come forth in us. There is going to be a stirring up and a
performance of His Word).

“Thus says the LORD who made the earth the LORD who formed it to establish it, the LORD
is His name”, (It is the Lord who made and established the earth – He is in total control of
everything. The earth is the Lord’s, and all it contains. We are in these times going to see just
how powerful His name is. The name of Jesus has not lost its power and it never will; all who
think it has lost its power should wait – unprecedented power in this name is being released in
the church).

“Call to me and I will answer you, and I will tell you great and mighty things, which you do
not know”. (This is the time that God is asking us to call to Him. He promises to answer us and
would tell us great and mighty things which we do not know. The Lord is about to do great and
mighty things, and all who call upon Him are going to experience them. This is very important
and actually crucial because many are calling on other things. It was in the days of Enosh, the
son of Seth, that men began to call on the name of the Lord. It was through this that the great and
mighty works of God as seen in Enoch, Noah, Abraham, Moses, the Prophets, etc. were done and
witnessed. Mighty works await all who will dare to call on the name of the Lord.
“For thus says the LORD God of Israel concerning the houses of this city, and concerning the
houses of the kings of Judah which are broken down to make a defense against the siege
ramps and against the sword, while they are coming to fight with the Chaldeans and to fill
them with the corpses in My wrath, and I have hidden My face from this city because of all
their wickedness” (Because of her rebellion and sin the Church has suffered defeats and failures)

“Behold, I will bring to it health and healing, and I will heal them; and I will reveal to them
an abundance of peace and truth”. (No matter what we have suffered in the past if we are going
to humble ourselves, pray, seek God’s face, and repent of our evil ways, the Lord is going to heal
and restore us. We are going to experience an abundance of peace with which we are going to
crush the head of the serpent – Romans 16:20. The Lord is going to also restore grace and truth).

“I will restore the fortunes of Judah and the fortunes of Israel and will rebuild them as they
were at first”. (The Lord is going to rebuild His temple, and restore it to what He intended us to
be. All that was lost from the Church will be recovered).

“I will cleanse them from all their iniquity by which they have sinned against Me, and I will
pardon all their iniquities by which they have sinned against Me and by which they have
transgressed against Me”.

(Great grace is being released to grant us repentance from our sins and dead works. It is with the
Lord’s Word that He cleanses us – John 15:3. Therefore, we can expect the Word of God to
come in us in a big way for this purpose. All of the judgments that came because of our iniquities
and transgressions would have run their full course, and we are going to experience the Lord’s
mercy).

“It will be to Me a name of joy, praise and glory before all the nations of the earth which will
hear of all the good that I do for them, and they will fear and tremble because of all the good
and all the peace that I make for it”.

(All who have ridiculed and mocked the Church are going to soon tremble for the great and
mighty deeds the Lord is about to do in His Church. The light of the church is about to shine to
the degree that all who see her will begin to give glory to God. We are about to experience the
joy of the Lord).

“Thus says the LORD, “Yet again there will be heard in this place, of which you say, “It is a
waste, without man and without beast”, that is, in the cities of Judah and in the streets of
Jerusalem that are desolate, without man and without inhabitants and without beasts, the
voice of joy and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom and the voice of the bride,
the voice of those who say, “Give thanks to the LORD of hosts, for the LORD is good, for His
lovingkindness is everlasting”; and of those who bring a thank offering into the house of the
LORD. For I will restore the fortunes of the land as they were at first; says the LORD”.

(Jesus is the Bridegroom and the bride is the Church. When the Lord restores us the voice of the
Lord is going to be heard, but so is the voice of the Bride. Our fellowship with the Lord is going
to be as never before. The Lord is not silent; we are going to hear Him louder than before. Many
ridicule the present Church when they compare it with the Church in the Book of Acts. However,
we are going to yet again see the Lord’s acts that will go beyond anything that were done at the
inception of the Church – the Lord has simply reserved greater works for these times).

“Thus says the LORD of hosts, “There will again be in this place which is waste, without man
or beast, and in all its cities, a habitation of shepherds who rest their flocks”. (Despite the
desolations the Church has suffered, God is going to restore the devoured years. We are told in
Jeremiah 50:6, that the reason why many Christians are so worn out is because they were led
astray by their shepherds, and the way the shepherds did this was to get us from project to
project, and have not gotten us to our resting place in the Lord. In this period of restoration the
Lord is going to raise shepherds after His own heart in the caliber of David whose devotion and
commitment will be to lead us to our resting place, where God is revealed in us).

“In the cities of the hill country, in the cities of the lowland, in the cities of the Negev, in the
land of Benjamin, in the environs of Jerusalem and in the cities of Judah, the flocks will
again pass under the hands of the one who numbers them, says the LORD”. (Benjamin, the
last son born to Israel, was a prophetic symbolism of the last-day church. Benjamin means “son
of my right hand”, and that is where Jesus is seated – the right hand of the Father, that is, the
place of unprecedented power – Matt. 26:64. Unprecedented power is being released in the
Church that will greatly exceed all that she has known. This is the time that we will know the
Lord as truly our shepherd who restores our souls. All the pride and loftiness of man will be
brought down while the humble will be exalted).

“Behold, days are coming, declares the LORD, when I will fulfill the good word which I have
spoken concerning the house of Israel and the house of Judah.” (We are in the time that we
are going to experience the “Good Word of God and Powers of the age to come” as spoken in
Hebrews 6:5. The Lord is going to now fulfill this in our lives. The good word of God is the
good news or gospel – this is the gospel of the kingdom of God that will be proclaimed in the
whole world before the end of this age can come –Matt. 24:14. For this message to go forth we
need the power and authority of the kingdom to send it, and this is the power we see in the
previous verse (Jer. 33:13) as explained. Not only are we going to proclaim this gospel, we are
going to experience in our personal lives all of the goodness of God as Moses experienced –
Exodus 33:19).

“In those days and at that time I will cause a righteous Branch of David to spring forth; and
He shall execute justice and righteousness” (Jesus was the promised Branch of David who
would come and established justice and righteousness on the earth. David was used to establish a
Throne of Authority on which we are told even Jesus is seated – Luke 1:32. This is not the literal
throne of David, but the authority he was used to establish. David did for spiritual authority what
Abraham did for faith. We are also told of Jesus that righteousness and justice are the foundation
of His Throne – Psalm 89:14.
When righteousness and justice are therefore established it is an indication of the throne or
authority of God taking its place on the earth, and He is going to do this through His Body, the
Church. As we seek to walk with Jesus as our righteousness we must seek His justice for our
lives. Justice does not only mean judgment on sin, but the Lord ensuring that we receive all of
our benefits as citizens of the kingdom of God. With righteousness in our hearts, permeating our
whole life we can expect the justice of God executed upon our lives. This is the time of
authority).

“In those days Judah will be saved and Jerusalem will dwell in safety; and this is the name by
which she will be called: the LORD is our righteousness”. (Salvation and safety are coming to
keep our soul. One thing that is bewildering even many Christians today is fear and insecurity.
Of course, we have everything to fear if our trust is in anything else but Jesus. But with our trust
and security in God we have nothing to fear. Christ in us is the hope of glory. If we put our trust
in Him we have the hope of the most glorious future. We walk in unrighteousness if our security
is in someone or something else. Righteousness means being on the right path – the path that
leads to life. We shall know the Lord as our Righteousness).

“For thus says the LORD, David shall never lack a man to sit on the throne of the house of
Israel”. (The Lord is raising many that will walk in the unprecedented authority that He is
bringing forth in the earth. The earth and all it contains belong to the Lord, but we are told that
He has given the earth to us, the Church – Psalm 115:16. We must begin to take our rightful
place in the earth to execute the Lord’s purposes with His authority that He has delegated to us.
As the prophecy stated, there shall not lack a man to walk in this authority which shadow David
was used to establish).

“And the Levitical priests shall never lack a man before Me to offer burnt offerings, to burn
grain offerings and to prepare sacrifices continually”. (In the New Testament every single
Christian is called to be a priest to minister before the Lord. Like Melchizedek, we are going to
continually minister before the Lord. However, one misunderstanding of most Christians is the
priesthood to which we have all being called. This is the time that we will recover it. It also
means that we cannot be the true priests that we have been called to be unless we present
ourselves as living sacrifices on the altar of God).

“The word of the LORD came to Jeremiah, saying, Thus says the LORD, If you can break My
covenant for the day and My covenant for the night, so that day and night will not be at their
appointed time, then My covenant may also be broken with David My servant so that he will
not have a son to reign on his throne, and with the Levitical priests, My ministers”. (The
Lord’s covenant with us is as sure as the sun rising in the east and setting in the west; day and
night; summer and winter. There shall be a performance of every word that God has spoken – He
watches over His Word to perform it. Faithful is He who has promised and He will do it).

“And the word of the LORD came to Jeremiah, saying, “Have you not observed what this
people have spoken, saying, “The two families which the LORD chose, He has rejected them?
Thus they despise My people, no longer are they as a nation in their sight. Thus says the
LORD, “If My covenant for day and night stand not, and the fixed patterns of heaven and
earth I have not established, Then I would reject the descendants of Jacob and David My
servant, not taking from his descendants rulers over the descendants of Abraham, Isaac, and
Jacob. But I will restore their fortunes and will have mercy on them”. (No matter what we
think of the Church, God has not rejected it. Just as He fulfilled His promises to Abraham, Isaac
and Jacob, He is going to bring to pass all that He has intended for us. By His abundant grace
and mercy He is going to restore all the years that the caterpillars have eaten. This is a period of
restoration).

We must quit from all the criticisms and accusations we have been bringing against the church.
As Paul said, we must “be on the alert with all perseverance and petition for all the saints”
(Ephesians 6:18). We must rather intercede for the church regardless what we think she is doing.
When Ezekiel stood before the valley of dry bones (which represented the house of Israel) he did
not start pointing to the bones how dry they were. Being a true prophet he prophesied over them
until they became all that God had called them to be – a great army of God.

If we are true we would pray and intercede until all of the promises of God concerning the
Church come to pass. I would rather intercede than criticize any church leader or congregation.

Bread in the House of Bread – Bethlehem

In Genesis 40, we are told that Pharaoh hanged his baker. Pharaoh was the king of Egypt, and in
Scripture Egypt is a type of the world. Pharaoh killing his baker speaks of the lack of bread in
Egypt – the world. There is no bread in Egypt. No matter what the world seems to have to offer
there is no bread there. Pharaoh restored the butler, his wine server. That is all that the world has
– wine! The world is only in the madness of its own wine. The spirit of the world is what has
kept its inhabitants in the bondage that they are in.

The one in whom Christians have believed is Christ Jesus, the Bread of Life. The true substance
and essence of life is in Jesus, and we have true life only to the degree that we have partaken of
the Bread of Life. There is only emptiness in the world – there is no fulfillment there. Regardless
what an unsaved person has, he has no true fulfillment, and they know it deep within them. There
is a spiritual void in man that can only be filled with Jesus, the true Bread of Life, and we will
continue to be empty until we wholeheartedly receive and partake of Him.

It is also true that we can believe Jesus as Saviour and Lord but still not be partaking of Him as
the Bread of Life. He is true Life, whom the Tree of Life in the Garden of Eden prophetically
represented. Partaking of the Tree of knowledge explains the great soul-hunger race. They are
blessed who recognize their hunger and thirst for righteousness because they shall be filled.

However, because of the seeming famine that struck the Church many if not most Christians,
have run to the world for “bread”, but there is no bread there! We are told in Ruth 1:1, “Now it
came about in the days when the judges governed, that there was a famine in the land. And
a certain man of Bethlehem in Judah went to sojourn in the land of Moab with his wife and
his two sons”. Bethlehem means “a house of bread”, but a time came when there was a famine
in Bethlehem, and there was no bread in the house of bread.

Then we are told in the verse 6, that Naomi “heard in the country of Moab how that the
LORD had visited His people in giving them bread” (KJV). In Moab, the man, Elimelech died
with his two sons, leaving Naomi a widow. Because they sought a living from the world most
Christians have lost the very essence of their lives – Christlikeness. They died because of the
toxification of the “wine” of Moab, for there was no bread there. The word now is that God is
visiting His people with bread, and He is not doing this in the world, but in the Church. We must
now move to the place where we become the kind of temple He has called us to be.

If we seek God we will find this Bread of Life. Benjamin as stated is a type of the last-day
church, being the last son born to Israel, and Benjamin was born in Bethlehem. If we are going to
walk in the coming unprecedented power and authority reserved for these last days we must
abide in Bethlehem for God’s provision. This is the good Word of God and the powers of the age
to come being released. The Lord said that we walk in error if we do not walk in the Word of
God and the Power of God (see Matthew 22:29).

The Third Spiritual Day

I also believe we have entered the third spiritual day as the people of God. Two thousand years
have passed since the Lord ascended to heaven. It is obvious we are now into the beginning of
the third thousand years. As we saw from 2 Peter 3:8, with the Lord a day is as a thousand years
and a thousand years as a day. It can therefore be said prophetically that we are into the third
spiritual day in the Lord’s Calendar.

A couple of months ago I was shown that the building of the Jewish Church (when they receive
Christ Jesus as their Saviour and Lord) will also mark the building of the Gentile Church. God
promised Abraham that his seed would be as the sand at the seashore, which spoke of his natural
seed, the children of Israel; and as the stars in the sky, the spiritual seed of Abraham, the Gentiles
who would receive Jesus as their Saviour and Lord. Israel in recent history has proven the truth
of this word. When Israel became a sovereign nation in 1948, the great Healing Revival was
ignited that swept across the earth with supernatural power on a scale which had probably not
been witnessed since the first century. Also Billy Graham, one of the greatest evangelists of all
time, began his ministry at that time.

In 1967, when Israel retook Jerusalem, the Charismatic Renewal began to sweep the church and
multitudes in almost every denomination began receiving the baptism of the Holy Spirit.
Whenever Israel has taken territory in the natural, the church has taken territory in the Spirit. The
church and Israel are inseparably linked in the last-day purposes of God, and what happens in
one will be reflected in the other.
When the Jews asked Jesus to show them a sign to prove His authority to confront them for
misusing the temple; He declared, “Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up”
(John 2:19). The Jews obviously misunderstood this statement, but as we are further told, “He
was speaking of the temple of His body” (v.21), and the church is the body of Christ. Even the
disciples could not understand this statement until Jesus rose from the dead after three days. I
believe not only a great understanding but an unprecedented experiential understanding is
coming to the church as we walk in this third spiritual day of God.

The third day is the resurrection day, and we are in a time that the resurrection power is coming
forth in the church to bring us to the full stature of Christ as the Lord has intended for us. As the
Lord said, He was going to raise up the church in three days. The church is going to be brought
to the fullness of all that she was called to be. This is the time. When Israel was preparing to
cross the Jordan River they were told, “However, there shall be between you and it (The Ark
of the Covenant) a distance of about 2000 cubits by measure. Do not come near it that you
may know the way by which you shall go, for you have not passed this way before” (Joshua
3:4, emphasis mine).

The Ark represented the Lord Jesus, and the cubits prophetically represented years. After about
two thousand years since Christ ascended to heaven the rest of the Body of Christ will now cross
over to possess our Promised Land. Just as the children of Israel had to eventually cover the
“2000 cubits” before they could enter to possess the Promised Land, after about 2000 years, the
people of God can begin to take the promises. Great and mighty things are about to happen in the
Church. We are also told in Matthew 12:40, “For just as Jonah was three days and three
nights in the belly of the sea monster, so will the Son of Man be three days and three nights
in the heart of the earth”.

Jonah’s three days in the whale’s belly was a prophecy of how Jesus would be buried, but rise
after three days with the resurrection life. Those who believe Christ as Saviour and Lord,
Christians, are biblically considered dead and risen up with Him in His resurrection. And just as
Jonah went forth with unprecedented preaching anointing to convert a whole city like Nineveh,
the church is about to go forth with the resurrection power to proclaim the gospel of the kingdom
in the whole world. This is the time of the fulfillment of John 5:25, “Truly, truly, I say to you,
an hour is coming and now is, when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God, and
those who hear will live”.

Just as the tombs of many were opened for many to rise in the Lord’s resurrection, as the life of
Christ comes forth in us there will be a lot of resurrections. In Exodus 19:16, we are told “And it
came to pass on the third day in the morning, that there were thunders and lightings, and a
thick cloud upon the mount, and the voice of the trumpets exceeding loud; so that all the
people that was in the camp trembled” (KJV). The “morning” of the third day obviously
speaks of the beginning of the day. This is exactly what I believe we are about to experience at
the beginning or morning of this third spiritual day of the Lord.
This is when God was descending upon Mount Sinai, and these things preceded Him. As the
Lord comes forth in Mount Zion this is exactly what we are going to experience in substance.
The thunders represented the voice of God; the lighting, His power; and the thick cloud His
glory. We must therefore grow in sensitivity to His Spirit so that we can discern His voice. This
will prepare us to walk in His unprecedented power when the greater glory enters the latter or
last-day temple.

As also stated, the voice of the trumpet was exceeding loud. This speaks of the church’s last-day
message; it will be exceeding loud, going forth in exceeding power and life. This is already
happening in many places in the Body of Christ, but it will be taken to unprecedented levels. The
Throne of God is covered with three things; thundering, lightning and voices (see Revelation
4:5). As stated, the thunder represented God’s voice, and if His authority will come forth in the
earth which the throne represents, it is both the voice of God and the voice of the saints.

As we are told in Job 22:28, “You will also decree a thing, and it will be established for you”.
God is the One who first decrees in heaven, but He has ordained that if it is going to be
established on the earth, the church, His Body, must decree it as well. This is also what we learn
from Matthew 16:19 when the Lord told Peter, “I will give you the keys of the kingdom of
heaven; and whatever you bind on earth shall have been bound in heaven, and whatever
you loose on earth shall have been loosed in heaven”. The keys would help us know what He
has declared in heaven, but our proclamation is required if such purposes will come forth in us –
this is a delegated authority for which we will be accountable. When the watcher and holy one
decreed the cutting down of the tree that represented the worldly system, we are told that it was
“the decree of the Most High” (see Daniel 4:24). The Lord made the decree in heaven, and the
watcher and holy one brought the word to the earth before it was thus effected. Again, this is
what the Lord has so sovereignly ordained.

We are told in Joel 2, which was quoted in Acts 2:17-18 by Peter on the Day of Pentecost that in
the these last days God will pour forth of His Spirit on the whole body of Christ, and the result
will be prophecies, dreams, visions, and other prophetic experiences. I believe when these have
accomplished their purpose then He will “Grant wonders in the sky above and signs on the
earth below...” (v19). Great signs and wonders are coming on the earth, and the result will be
that “everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved” (v21).

Salvation in unprecedented levels is coming to the church and the world. I believe we are
entering the time that the Lord is coming to restore all things – the millennial rule of Jesus. Let
us prepare for Him!
God Saves His Best for the Last

We are told that the first miracle of Jesus was to turn water into wine “This beginning of
miracles did Jesus in Cana of Galilee, and manifested forth His glory; and His disciples
believed on him” (John 2:11 KJV). I believe this is the first miracle He seeks to do in the lives
of all who will walk with Him in true faith. There is no meaningless detail in the Scriptures;
everything has an inherent meaning, and we need to find them out. It is the glory of God to
conceal a matter and the honour of kings to find them out. All of the miracles of the Lord were
signs, and so was this first miracle. And signs are just that – signs. We must therefore understand
what they mean if we can have their true essence. Every sign is pointing somewhere.

On the third day after Jesus left Jordan to start His ministry, we are told that He attended a
wedding in Cana of Galilee. This third spiritual day of the Lord He is coming to the earth once
again to start “His Ministry”. A grand wedding is about to take place between the church, the
Bride of Christ, and Jesus Himself as the Great Bridegroom. As we read in Jeremiah 33:11, we
are about to hear the voice of the Groom and His Bride.

Without question we are in a time that can be said that our “wine” has almost run out. It can be
true that we are short of the kind of wine that the first century church started with, but the coming
wedding is not possible without the wine. In Ephesians 5:18, wine can symbolize the Holy Spirit
because wine influences those who take it the same way the Spirit-filled Christian is controlled
by the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit was sent to be the very life of our ministries, and the One
who brings us to the full stature of what we have been called to in the New Testament – the
fullness of Christ.

Like Mary, we must ask the Lord for this wine to come forth again. We are given the sure
prophecy quoted previously in Joel 2 and Acts 2 that in the last days (in which we are) the Holy
Spirit will come forth in us in an unprecedented wave. This is what we must be ardently praying
for. As the Lord responded to Mary; “My hour has not yet come” (John 2:4) but still provided
the wine; the wine for these last days will precede the time of the coming of the Lord.

The Lord asked the people to fill the empty water pots with water. This was a demonstration of
how He would fill His disciples (empty vessels) with His Word (water is symbolic of the Word
of God – Eph. 5:26). The vessels had to be filled to the brim before the wine came forth. We
would have to be filled with God’s Word to the “brim” if we too can receive the wine. Some
have done so well they are full with the water (the words), but what they are serving is not wine
– it is fresh water; the vast difference will be seen when both are tasted.

The disciples were filled with the words of God, but they needed to tarry in Jerusalem until they
were endued with power from on high (Luke 24:49). We must learn how to wait on the Lord
before the wine of the Spirit can come forth in us. As the Lord also told them in Acts 1:8, when
the Holy Spirit came, they would receive power to be witnesses of His resurrection. If we can be
His true witnesses we likewise need this endowment of power from on high. It was the Holy
Spirit who made the difference in their lives and ministries.
The disciples certainly knew Christ suffered and died on the Cross, was buried, and then rose up
the third day. However, if their message and witness would go forth with the compelling and
saving power, they needed the anointing and power of the Holy Spirit. So far, it can be said of
most of us that we have been serving “fresh water” – our intellectual knowledge of the gospel.
However, if men can be saved the “wine” of the message must go forth. We need the Holy Spirit
if we can truly preach the gospel to have the effect.

As it was said, when the governor of the feast tasted the wine, he confessed that the best had
indeed been kept for the last. The Lord Jesus said that the first shall be last, and the last shall be
first. He has indeed saved His best for the last. As Mary told the servants to just do whatever
Jesus commanded them, if we will be that obedient we will see the glory of the Lord. We are told
that this miracle of the Lord manifested His glory so that His disciples believed in Him (v.11).

The turning of the water into wine will release the awesome glory of God that will transform
those who follow the Lord. We are in the third spiritual day of the Lord, and this is when we are
going to taste His best that He has kept for the last days.
