Introducing ...
AX20-RT
Performs Like AdvanTex®, Installs Like a Tank
Slam dunk! No brainer! That’s what people are saying after they install their first AX20-RT.

The RT is the latest addition to Orenco’s AdvanTex® family of high-

performing advanced treatment systems. Same low power costs. Same
re-use quality effluent. But completely prepackaged ... completely “plug &
play.” Just hook it up to a tank and go. Faster, easier install. Fewer
call-backs. Cuts costs for excavation, installation, and service.
The AdvanTex AX20-RT is ideal for repairs, small lots, and shallow
installs. For more information, go to www.orenco.com/ax20rt
Or just call Orenco at 800-348-9843 and we’ll give you the name

We are a very small company but still own a complete basic assortment
of necessary equipment, including a vacuum truck, backhoe, mini-excava-

inspection equipment. We rent small specialized items like concrete saws,
compactors, jackhammers, and core drills. We also occasionally rent larger
excavators, skid-steer loaders, and other heavy machinery as necessary.
NEWLY DESIGNED As a footnote, I really appreciate the Onsite Installer magazine, espe-

ours. We have been involved in the building construction industry for as
long as I can remember, but the builder’s trade magazines feature projects
and companies that are so complex or large that they are hard to relate to,
thus the magazines seldom get much attention.
I appreciate your willingness to portray the onsite industry for what it is:
Primarily small to mid-sized backhoe services installing mostly standard
systems along with a number of more complex systems. Please keep your
focus and continue to make the publication something that we as small
businesses can relate to.

The majority of insurance
brokers don’t know your
business as well as we do.

With an estimated 26 million septic

systems serving U.S. residences, there’s
a considerable amount of work in the
pipeline for septic contractors. However,
until now, septic contractors haven’t had
an all-lines insurance solution that would
cover all of their business exposure from
design and installation to the rental of
portable toilets.

To address this need, Sanitation Insurance

Services specializes in offering a compre-
hensive insurance program specifically for
septic contractors and portable restroom
operators. While some policies provide
coverage for pumping or portable toilet
rental, our program addresses design,
installation, inspection, service and repair,
vandalism as well as pumping and
portable toilet rental.

You need an insurance program that

addresses the specific exposures you face,
such as errors and omissions (E&O) cover-
age for the various services you provide.

WE HAVE YOU COVERED.

Vermeulen Receives Major Industry Award
Don Vermeulen, retired owner of the Meyers Company, in Macedon,
N.Y., received the Ralph Macchio Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2011
Pumper & Cleaner Environmental Expo in Louisville in March.
February 27 - March 1, 2012
Vermeulen, with more than 50 years in the industry, recently sold his
company, specializing in onsite system installation. The Macchio Award Indiana Convention Center • Indianapolis, Indiana
was given by COLE Publishing and COLE Inc., sponsors of the Pumper & Monday - Education Day • Tuesday - Thursday - Exhibits
Cleaner Expo.
“Don has shown a lifetime commitment to the things we all find impor-
tant in this industry. That’s professionalism and education,” said Rick
Howe, of Cape Cod Biochemical Co., who nominated Vermeulen. “Don is
truly a gentleman, and he really exhibits everything that we would like this
industry to be.”
Howe said Vermeulen has always been on the cutting edge of industry
technology and has continued to be involved in education conferences,
from the Pennsylvania Septage Management Association to the Pumper &
Cleaner Expo Education Day.
Heading into retirement, Vermeulen reinforced his interest in building
industry professionalism. “The more knowledge we can share within the
industry, the better we all will be, and all customer relationships will
improve as a result,” he said. n
