EXERCISE – I
Prepare a report to be sent to your boss about your business tour and the monthly sales for the
products you are dealing with for the year 2006. Use MS Word Table features in preparation of
the report.

EXERCISE – II
Create a PowerPoint presentation having slides about ‘Brand Management’ as its contents.
The presentation should have at least 15 slides.
Use transition effects.
Use animation effects for the contents in a slide.
The slides should have different Designs and Layout.
Save it as a Presentation file.

EXERCISE III

EXERCISE IV
Given below are the particulars of a company that manufacture a fabricated part for compressors
in refrigrators.
Selling price per unit = Rs. 200
Variable cost per unit = Rs. 50
Fixed cost = Rs. 200000 per annum
Qty produced = 2000 units per annum
• Calculate the BEP, Contribution and Profit/ Loss using the formula functions in MS
Excel.
• Calculate the BEPs if the Variable cost decreases by Rs 5/- and the Fixed cost increases
by Rs 50000/- for five years consecutively. Calculate using Table features in Excel.

EXERCISE V
A factory can manufacture two products X1 and X2. Each product is manufactured by two stage
process that involves machine 1and 2 and the time required is as follows,

Available hours on machine 1 is 10 hours and on machine 2 is 16 hours. The contribution for
product X1, is Rs 4 per unit and for X2 is Rs 3 per unit. What should the factory’s manufacturing
policy.

Alpha Car Manufacturers want to release a small car into the market. For this purpose they have
surveyed twenty respondents about their perceptions and image attributes of small cars. Ten
questions were asked to each of them, all answered on a scale of 1 t 7 (1 – completely Agree, 7 =
Completely Disagree)

1. The price of the car should be reasonable.


2. Fuel mileage of the car should be at least 17 km / hr.
3. A small car should be easy to maintain and to be serviced.
4. Seating should be comfortable for four adults.
5. A small car should have adequate leg space and headroom.
6. Breaks are the most critical part of a small car.
7. Collapsible steering column should be standard equipment in all the new cars.
8. Power steering is a must.
9. Interior accessories of a small car should be attractive.
10. Adequate space for luggage.
