Manufacturing Analysis

Material Consumption
This task is the first part of the tutorial. You want to view a report on material consumption.

1. Expand the menu item "End user role: Manufacturing Analysis".


2. You want to view a report on material consumption. Double click on the entry "Material Consumption".
3. If this dialog box appears, enter your SAP BW user name (here: demo) and password (here: best). Then choose
"OK".
4. The "Material Consumption" report opens. Initially, the report shows key figures of material consumption per
plant.
5. If the report shows materials with various units of measurement, initially only one unit of measurement is
displayed on the screen. To view the units of measurement for all of the materials you need to drill down in the
rows for the entry "Component". Choose "Drilldown in the rows" for the entry "Component".
6. To drill down for material additionally, choose "Drilldown in the rows" for the entry "Material".
7. You want to view the values for one plant only. Choose a left mouse click on one plant in the table area.
8. Choose "Keep Filter Value".
9. In order to see a chart which displays the development of key figures for several months, you need to carry out
the following steps: Choose "Select Filter Value" for the entry "Structure".
10. In the dialog box, only select the checkbox Actual Value of Gl. Then choose "Transfer".
11. Choose "Drilldown in the Columns" for the entry "Material".
12. Now you are ready to see a chart, which displays the development of key figures for several months. Choose
"bar chart".
13. The actual value of goods issue (GI) is shown per material. You have now finished the first part of the tutorial -
Material Consumption-. To view the second part of the tutorial - Lead Time Production - choose "Next Step" in the
menu bar of the SAP Tutor, or choose "Enter".
Lead Time Production
This task is the second part of the tutorial. You want to view a report on lead time production.

14. You want to view a report on lead time production. Double-click on the menu item "Lead Time Production".
15. If this dialog box appears, enter your SAP BW user name (here: demo) and password (here: best). Then choose
"OK".
16. The "Lead Time Production" report opens. Initially, the report shows key figures of lead times per plant.
17. To drill down for material additionally, choose "Drilldown in the rows" for the entry "Material".
18. To drill down for calendar day additionally, choose "Drilldown in the rows" for the entry "Calendar day" in the
navigation block.
19. To view the values for one plant only, do the following: Choose a left mouse click on one plant in the table area.
20. Then choose "Keep Filter Value".
21. In order to see a pie chart which displays the development of key figures for several days, carry out the
following steps: Choose "Select Filter Value" for the entry "Structure".
22. In the dialog box, only select the checkbox "T/A Lead Time Deviation %". Then choose "Transfer".
23. Choose "Drilldown in the Columns" for the entry "Material".
24. Choose "Line Chart".
25. The development of the lead time deviation for the last days is displayed. You have now successfully finished
the tutorial "Manufacturing Analysis".
