«Нет жизни без книг» (There’s no life without books)

Цель учебного занятия: Формирование коммуникативной компетенции
учащихся по теме “There’s no life without books”.

1. Образовательный аспект:

Совершенствование навыков монологической и диалогической речи.

Формирование коммуникативных умений и навыков.

Совершенствование умения воспринимать на слух текст с извлечением


основной информации.

2. Развивающий аспект:

Развитие языковых способностей и устойчивого интереса к изучению


иностранного языка.

Развитие умения выражать свое отношение к обсуждаемому вопросу.

Развитие различных видов памяти, мыслительной деятельности, языковой


догадки.

3. Воспитательный аспект:

Формирование у учащихся интереса к литературе.

Воспитание активности в решении коммуникативных задач.

Тип учебного занятия: комбинированный.

Средства обучения:

1) наглядные: иллюстрации по теме, видеосюжет, уголок, оборудованный


под библиотеку, художественные книги на английском языке;
2) раздаточный материал: карточки с заданиями, таблица;
3) технические: компьютер;

Ход учебного занятия

1. Организационный момент.

T: Good morning, boys and girls. I’m very glad to see you. We are so pleased to
see our guests today and we’ll try to make our lesson useful and interesting.
T: Before we start, I want you to watch a video. Can you guess what we are going
to speak about?

2. Постановка темы и цели учебного занятия.

T: You are right. Today we are going to speak about books, different genres of
literature, English and American writers, do some exercises.

3. Речевая зарядка.

T: First, answer my questions:


Do you like reading?
What do you mostly read?
Why do you read?
When you want to read a book where do you usually go?
Who works at the library?

T: Yes, you are right. It is a librarian. Now lets imagine that you want to go to the
library and here in our class there is a library. So who wants to be a librarian?
So lets go to the library and imagine that you want to take out a book.

4. Основной этап.

4.1. Активизация изученной лексики по теме.

L. Hello. Can I help you?


P. Yes, I want to take out a book.
L. What kind of books do you like to read?
P. I like books about…or I like…..stories.
L. Fine. We’ve got it. Here you are.
P. Thanks.

Диалог о книгах (работа в парах).

T: You see there are many interesting books in our library. I see that you have read
many books of English and American writers. Look at the blackboard. Do you
know these writers? Come to the blackboard and match the writers with their
books.

T: You know children there are a lot of genres of literature. Which of them do you
know? What is your favourite? Why? Now I have some cards with different types
of books. Your task is to choose one of them and describe it.

1. Science fiction books describe imaginary world, unusual characters, and their
good and bad actions.

2. Fairy tales describe imaginary heroes, who fight for the good against evil.

3. Romantic books describe happy and unhappy love, people’s feelings.

4. Detectives books describe crime and criminals, clever detectives.

5. Adventure books describe brave and clever people, adventure of people in


difficult situations.

6. Historical books describe events in the past, famous political figures, wars, life
of people in ancient times.

T: Now, let us have a guessing game. Listen to the beginning of different kinds of
stories and try to define the genre and tell me why you think so.

5. Физкультминутка.

T: Lets have a rest. Many films are based on famous books. Of course, there is
music to these films.
Listen, relax and try to guess from what movie this melody is?

6. Совершенствование навыков аудирования (работа в парах).


T: Now I have a dialogue for you. Listen to Liz and Rosie talking with the
librarian. Be very attentive because I have some tasks for you.
1) But before listening, try to remember the next proper names from the dialogue.

7. Совершенствование навыков устной речи (групповая работа).

T: As you know books and authors, I want you to make a biography of famous
English and American writers. Choose the envelope with information about
different writers. Your task is to choose the right information and present the
biography in front of the class.

He was born in Stratford-upon-Avon in 1564.
He was a famous playwright in the English language.
His father sold gloves.
He married when he was only 18.
He wrote 37 plays, including “Hamlet”, “Othello”, “Romeo and Juliet”.

A. Conan Doyle
He was born on 22 May 1859 in Edinburgh.
His parents were Irish.
He studied at the Roman Catholic Jesuit School and at Stonyhurst College.
He studied medicine at the university.
He wrote about Sherlock Holmes.

C. Joanne Rowling
She was born on 31 July.
Her family lived near Bristol in the southwest England.
She was the top girl in the class.
She began to write at the age of five.
Her first story was “Rabbit”.
She wrote about Harry Potter.

8. Рефлексия.

T: We have discussed much about books and writers today. At the end of our
lesson, let us grow a “Book tree”. You can say what is reading for you. Now, you
can see a list of things on your desks. Choose three things that you think are the
most important for you. Then come to the blackboard and hang them on our tree.
Books can tell us a lot about interesting things.
Books make feel good.
Books help to discover new things.
Books educate us.
It is the perfect way to spend free time.
Books escape from everyday problems.
It is the perfect way to entertain myself.
Books can tell us a lot about the rest of the world.
It is the perfect way to relax.

9. Домашнее задание.
T: Your task is:
Make a project about your favourite author.

10. Подведение итогов. Выставление оценок.

T: The topic of our conversation today was very interesting and important. We
have spoken much about books, writers, and genres.

T: I’d like to thank you for good work at the lesson. Your marks are… I wish you
be healthy and wealthy. The lesson is over. Good-bye!
