1.0 General This specification guide covers the general requirements for design,
information/ manufacturing and installation of analog signal converters for
Introduction converting current signals into desired output signals.

2.0 Product features/ The analog signal converter shall be designed for the electrical
product functions isolation of current signals without external power supply for analog
current signals of 0-20 mA and 4-20 mA.

The I/I isolator shall be available with one or two channels. The
voltage drop shall be  2.5 V.

The device shall be provided with a 2-way electrical isolation to

ensure maximum operating safety.

The current / current isolator shall be ABB type CC-E I/I or pre-
approved equal.

3.0 Conformance/ The current / current isolator shall be designed, manufactured and
standards tested in accordance with the latest editions of applicable IEC
standards.

4.0 Approvals / Marks The I/I isolator shall be approved and/ or certified by the following
organizations:
- Underwriters Laboratories (cULus)
and shall have the following marks:
- CE
- C-Tick

5.0 Technical data The I/I isolator shall be rated in accordance with the following
specifications:

Input current 0-20 mA, 4-20 mA

Output current 0-20 mA, 4-20 mA
Output load 0-500 

6.0 Mechanical The current / current isolators should be realized in a 18 mm

requirements wide enclosure, possible to be mounted on DIN rail.
The connecting terminals should be able to accept solid wires in the
size of 4 mm² (10 AWG) and stranded wires in the size of 2.5 mm²
(14 AWG). The degree of protection shall be IP20.

7.0 Quality The vendor shall be certified in accordance to ISO 9001 (quality
requirements management system) and ISO 14001 (environmental certification).
A complete environmental product declaration (EPD) shall be
available upon request. The EPD shall describe the material
used for the I/I isolator, energy consumption, losses, etc.
The products shall be functionally tested prior to shipment to assure
proper operation per specification.

8.0 Documentation A data sheet describing the device shall be available.

9.0 Startup and Startup procedures shall be intuitive and simple enough so as not to
adjustment require factory assistance or training.
