Leopards do it again
A leopard never changes its spots and this was apparent when the Royal Leopards were victorious once
more at the end of the MTN Premier League season.

The MTN Premier League season ended on 18 May


2008 with two games played at different stadiums
concurrently. The title-holders for the past two
years, the Royal Leopards, played Mbabane
Highlanders at the Mayaluka, Big Bend.
Royal Leopards and Mbabane Highlanders fought
it out for the title but after 90 minutes of play, the referee
blew the whistle and the Royal Leopards emerged
victorious. The Royal Leopards, also known to their
supporters as the Ingwe Mabalabala, walked away with
E400,000.
After the games, teams and supporters gathered
at the eSibayeni Lodge in Matsapa for the prize giving
ceremony where Vulindlela Kunene, CEO of the Premier
League of Swaziland, was the Master of Ceremonies for
the evening.
The turn out was good considering that this event
was held on the same evening as the UEFA Champions
League Finals.
MTN CEO Tebogo Mogapi thanked and gave praise
to the teams for a good and competitive season.
He also sympathised with the Mbabane
Highlanders, who had been log leaders throughout
the season but didn’t manage to take the title home.

from the beginning. Y’ello! caught up with them to gain insight into their experiences.
