Connecting the GPS Cables

The Outdoor GPS Receiver is connected to the NPU/NAU via a Cat. 5E Ethernet cable. Before connecting the cable, make sure
that the length of the cable is sufficient to reach the NPU/NAU.

IMPORTANT
When connecting to indoor BTS - pay attention to the connectors when spreading the cables on the
roof to inside the building. For the GPS cable, make sure that the RJ-45 connector side of the cable
remains on the roof and the D-type connector side enters the building.

1 Connect the grounding cable to the grounding screw located on the bottom panel of the GPS bracket (Figure 2). Connect
the other end of the grounding cable to a good ground (earth) connection.

2 Remove the sealing gland plug from the gland nut (Figure 3).
3 Open the sealing gland nut and remove it. Do not disassemble the gland base from the bracket.
4 Remove the rubber bushing from the sealing gland.

NOTE

The removed parts (sealing gland plug, nut and rubber bushing) can be disposed of, as they are
replaced by the same parts supplied with the GPS cable.
