the moves in front of you while playing (or on your smartphone when kicking ass
and taking names).

The fatalities are listed by character, and the characters are alphabetized.
Some characters will not have the DLC fatalities (from the special orders from
Walmart, Best Buy, and Gamestop). If you know about them, feel free to email me

For some weird ass reason, you people like to rotate the buttons counter-
clockwise to better mimic klassic MK (with the punches on the left and kicks
on the right, and the segregation of high and low). You may want to get used
to the fact that system is long dead (since MK4).

RANGES IN MORTAL KOMBAT

===============================================================================

There are five or so ranges in the game where you do fatalites. While the game
has a fatality training system which tells you the range, the descriptions are
sometimes nebulous. This list elaborates the fatality distances further.

TOUCH -- You are adjacent to your opponent.

PUNCH -- Approximately one to two steps away from the opponent (touch okay).

SWEEP -- Approximately three to five steps away from the enemy.

JUMP -- When touching the opponent, jump back once. That is the distance.

FULLSCREEN -- You and the enemy are on opposite sides of the screen.

The game will use all the descriptions (except PUNCH) in their Moves List when
describing the range where you need to be to execute a fatality.

** Note **

Babalities will not work if you use the BLOCK function on the round that you
intend to do the babality on (basically the final round or round 2). This is
a rule from the old MKs, denoting that defeating your opponent is easier than
killing babies with an axe.

|_| Secret (Second) Fatalities

The secret fatalities are unlocked in the Kombat Krypt, but since you can do
them already (see above), there's no need to buy them. The character close-up
is very cool though, and (in HD) icon worthy for message boards and Facebook.

|_| Stage / Pit Fatalities

These are unlocked as you progress through the Challenge Tower. A description
of the challenge (goals) clues you in to the ones you need to complete to
see the move (don't have them all, so I can't list the motions yet).
_
|_| Babalities

Complete stages in the Challenge Tower to unlock the "other -ality", the
baby-ality, which turns your opponent into a baby (from UMK3). When you get
the achievement unlocked, you should have performed a fatality, pit fatality
and babality. Maybe the sexuality is reserved for MK10 (or MKX).
_
|_| Costume 2 for everyone (except Cyber Sub-zero)

A character's second costume is unlocked by purchasing it in the Kombat Krypt

or by completing Ladder (arcade) Mode (do it on Very Easy) with someone. The
second way is probably better, since you can use the koins for the Challenge
Tower.

Only Cyber Sub-zero has no costume 2 (it's basically regular Sub-zero). Since
the robot and human versions are different characters and not simple costumes,
the slot Cyber Sub occupies will probably not change. This pisses off users
who believe Ultimate Sub-Zero (from MK Trilogy) is the most bad assed version
of Sub-Zero .... of all time.

|_| Mileena's bandage costume (Costume 3)

Complete or "bribe" all challenges in the Challenge Tower to unlock Mileena

with no mask and wearing mummy bandages over her butts & b00bs. This unlockable
was leaked early by YouTube's MK users. You can thank Catherine Li (ZOMG a grrl
who playz MK!) for spending kash for kontent to check this out.

|_| Koins for dummies

If, for some reason, you want to just want to farm koins and are moderately
okay with using Kabal, you can use challenge 37 to build up koins. By hitting
retry (or basically doing the challenge over and over again), you can quickly
amass a fair sum for a short amount of work. Just remember that beating the
Arcade/Ladder mode will also generate koins, and unlocks Costume 2 for most
characters.

Although it's pretty self-explanatory. I just explained the exploit in two

sentences, while the video needed 1 minute. Sure, it offers visual proof, but
seriously, why would I lie about an exploit that helps me? MK9 wasn't even
released on April 1st.
