Chainway LCD User Manual

LCD is an optional accessory of CW-801 & CW-701.

LCD Functions:
1. Set parameters: APN (with user name, password), IP, Port, Terminal ID.
2. Display information: Speed, speed limit, direction, time, signal & connection.
3. Receive message from center (voice remind), support group sending. Send pre-set
text message to center.
4. Two-way voice communication, can call & receive call. 4 pre-set numbers.
5. Over speed alarm; settings for other information.
6. Read/write IC card. Driver can insert IC card for check in/check out.

Introduction to LCD buttons:

“0-9”: (at the bottom of LCD) Choose input content

“F1”: Change to letter input
“F2”: Change to digital input
“F3”: Delete the parameter value
“F4”: Return to upper menu
“OK”: Confirmation
“<”, “>”: Scroll button

Part 1: Initial parameter settings for terminal:

ATTN: After setting every parameter, must wait for successful message to start
setting next parameter, to write parameters into terminal & not loss.

1、After LCD start, press OK to enter main menu window. Choose “Set Parameter” and
input password: 333666999, press OK, then enter parameter setting window.
Note：Default password is 333666999, you can change it.

2、Choose “Terminal ID”，enter the ID setting window

Note:
1). The Terminal ID is used for recognition of terminal. ID Number must be unique.
2). If you want to input letter, press “F1”, the bottom of window will display letter bar, press
“F1” or “>” to display next page.
ATTN: Terminal ID must consist of capital letters or digits. The length must be
exactly 15 bytes.

3、Choose “Center IP”，enter the IP setting window

4、Choose Center Port”, enter the Port setting window

Note:
1). “Center IP” and “Center Port” are the monitoring server IP address and Port, if you
input wrong IP address or Port, the terminal can’t connect to the server.

5、Choose “Set APN”，enter the APN setting window

Note:
1) APN (Access Point Name) default is “CMNET” of China Mobile.

6、Choose “Set Dialusername”, enter the APN user name setting window
Note:
1) This parameter is in page 2). Some operator’s APN need user name, password.

7. Choose “Set Dialpassword”, enter the APN password setting window.

8. Return to main menu, choose “System Reboot” to restart CW-801.

Reboot the terminal?

F4: Cancel OK: Confirm

ATTN: After all parameters set successful, must restart the device. After restart
please wait 1-2 minutes before doing operations.

After reboot, the system enters the initialization screen:

Part 2: Instructions to other settings

1、Choose “Center Call”, enter the Center Call setting window

Note:
Set the monitoring server center Phone NO.

2、Choose “Trans interval”, enter the Trans interval setting window, press OK.
ATTN: After press OK, you will see the parameters which set in the SIM card. Please
check if all parameters are set to SIM card successfully. If not, set again.

Note:
1) Trans interval default is 60 seconds
2) Trans interval used for setting the time that the terminal Transmission interval, for
example: if you want every 120 second, get terminal GPS information.

3、Choose “Set PhoneNum” enter SIM card number setting window

Note: (This function is invalid yet)
1) Input SIM card number of terminal.

Then press “F4” to return to main menu to reboot CW-801.

Part 3: Instructions to main menu

1. Choose “System Reboot” to restart CW-801.

2、choose “Password Modify”, enter the Password modify window

Note:
1) If you want to set parameter next time, you should enter you new password
