PRESENT STATUS:
Working on various projects at National Environmental Engineering Research institute
(NEERI), CSIR Laboratory, NAGPUR since January 2006.

Responsibilities assigned:
• Synthesis, Catalysis (Green chemistry), chemical analysis and characterization of
various materials.
• Actively contributing for the publications of papers and patents related to the
concerned work.
• Actively involved in providing analytical solutions using the instrumental
facilities and techniques described below.
• Wet chemistry and characterization of different kind of materials for various
environmental applications e.g. Adsorption, Catalysis etc.
• Development and modification of chemical methods through consistent research
and development methodology.

SKILLS DEVELOPED:
Material Synthesis: Well versed with the synthesis and Characterization of solids such
as Zeolites, Mesoporous (MCM-41, SBA-15 etc) and macroporous materials using
various types of surfactants and structure directing agents.
Synthesis of different catalysts for various environmental applications using combustion
method, wet impregnation and spray pulsed impregnation techniques.

Instruments / Techniques used: Spectrophotometer, potentiometer, Conductometer, pH


meter, Flame photometer, Turbidity meter, Colorimeter, High Volume air sampler, Paper
Chromatography, Catalyst evaluation assembly, Volumetric adsorption apparatus,
Inductively Coupled Plasma Spectrophotometer, Gas Chromatograph (CHEMITO) (with
TCD and FID), CLARUS-500 and various specific techniques required to analyze any
gas, liquid or solid material.

 Presently working on Ion selective electrodes for Fluoride and nitrate analysis,
Ion Chromatograph (ICS-3000, DIONEX), HPLC (KNAUER) for water
parameters analysis, chemisorption unit (QUANTACHROME Autosorb-1) and
X-ray Diffraction spectroscope (RIGAKU) for solid-state analysis.

Software knowledge / used: AS1-C Windows software for Quantachrome Autosorb-1


Chemisorption unit, IRIS-32 Lite for Gas Chromatograph Linked to catalysts Evaluation
assembly (CHEMITO), CLARUS- 500 for gas Chromatograph (PERKIN ELMER),
