“ NOTIFICATION”

Notice for B.Pharmacy Entrance Test-2011.

An objective type (MCQ) Entrance Test for admission to B.Pharmacy 4 years degree
course in Govt. College of Pharmacy, Rohroo and Private un-aided B.Pharmacy colleges
located in the State of H.P., for the session 20011-2012 will be held on June 12,
2011(Sunday) on behalf of the State Govt. of Himachal Pradesh. at Shimla, Mandi,
Dharamsala and Hamirpur Examination Centres for which the applications on the prescribed
OMR application form available in the prospectus are invited from the eligible candidates.

Last date: The last date for receipt of application forms complete in all respects either by
hand or by Registered/Speed-Post in the Office of the Deputy Registrar(Entrance Tests)
H.P.University, Shimla-5 is 21.5.2011 upto 5 PM whereafter no application shall be
accepted.
ELIGIBILITY CONDITIONS:

(i) For admission to 85% State Quota Seats, the candidate(s) should be bonafide/domicile of
Himachal Pradesh. For admission to 15% All India Quota Seats, there is no such condition of
bonafide/domicile of Himachal Pradesh.
(ii) Educational Qualification: Should have passed 10+2 examination from a recognized
Board/University with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with one of the
following subjects: Mathematics/Biology/Bio-Technology/Computer Science; with atleast
50% marks (45% in case of candidate belonging to SC/ST/OBC categories) taken together.

Note:(1)Pass in 10+2 from National Open School(NOS) New Delhi with the above
subjects shall not be an entry qualification for taking this Entrance Test.
(2)Management Quota seats i.e. 33.1/3% of total State Quota Seats shall also be filled
up by respective Private Colleges on the basis of merit of marks obtained in the
Entrance Test..
(3) There shall be no age bar for seeking admission to B.Pharmacy course on the
basis of the Entrance test.
(4) The candidates who have appeared in plus two examination or its equivalent and
whose result has not been declared can also apply for this test, but the admission
will be made subject to production of passing plus two examination at the time of
counseling.

PROCEDURE FOR OBTAINING THE PROSPECTUS:

(i) By Cash: For prescribed application form and detailed information etc., the prospectus can
be obtained at the University Examination Enquiry-cum-Sale Counter No.1, Library Building
(Basement) Summer Hill,Shimla-5 from 26.4.2011 to 21.5.2011 during working hours on
payment of Rs.1150/- for General & other categories, and Rs.650/- for SC/ST categories.
(ii) By Post: The request for obtaining the prospectus by post can be addressed only to the
Deputy Registrar(Entrance Tests) H.P. University, Shimla-171005 accompanied by
crossed IPOs/Bank Draft drawn in favour of the Finance Officer, H.P. University, Shimla
amounting to Rs.`1200/- for General & other categories and Rs.700/-for SC/ST categories. No
request for obtaining the prospectus by post will be entertained after 10.5.2011. While
applying for obtaining the prospectus by post, the candidate must write “B.Pharmacy
Prospectus-2011 is required” and complete mailing address in CAPITAL LETTERS along
with telephone number.

Note: It will be the entire responsibility of the candidates to procure the prospectus well in
time and submit the application form complete in all respects within the stipulated date. The
University will not be responsible for any postal delay for non-receipt or misplacement or loss
of prospectus in transit. All disputes are subject to legal jurisdiction of courts in Shimla only.
