Why did you choose the EM FOOD OF LIFE Course and the above mobility track.
I had done project on "Encapsulation of Flavor by different drying Techniquies" during this
project i decided to do specilaization in Meat and dairy technology with use of drying
technology, to facilitate the humanity in emergancy situation like flood & earth quake,
now a days my country Pakistan is suffering from that kind of situation & we don’t have
production facilities to give then emergency food which will full fil there nutritional and
physical requirement.Most foods are highly perishable like meat & dairy products, storage life
(shelf-life) is vital if products are to be transported over large distances to those areas where
there shortage is to found and stored in warehouses, Drying is by far the most useful large
scale operation method of keeping foods safe for long periods of time. Drying itself may be
treated as a thermal processing method as the number of live micro-organisms can be reduced
during drying. With the help of different drying techniques Nutrient content, on the other hand,
has to be maintained at the highest level possible and provide people healthy and safe food
and prevent malnutrition in the people, where it is abudent and where it is short due to
climatic changes Drying operations therefore need to be precisely controlled and optimised in
order to produce a good quality product that has the highest level of nutrient retention and
flavour, whilst maintaining microbial safety.
All non-native speakers must demonstrate their English proficiency with a test result in English as a
Foreign Language (TOEFL minimum score 560 / IBT 83 or IELTS score of 6.0). The period between
the proficiency test and this application should not exceed two years.
Certified copies of the test result must be included at the time of application.
