1. What are the programmes on offer and what is the fee structure?

2. What are the duration of the programmes?

3. When are the programmes being offered?


• All certificate programmes of School of Agriculture are offered twice in a year
i.e. January and July sessions
• All Diploma programmes of School of Agriculture are offered only once in a
year i.e. January session
• PhD Programme of School of Agriculture is offered only once in a year i.e
January session

4. Whether I can take admission at any time of the year?


IGNOU is having 'Walk-in admission' process wherein, candidates who are desirous of
taking admission to any of the programmes are required to approach the concerned
Regional Director at any time during office hours. The admission for these programmes
will remain open round the year.

5. How to enroll for School of Agriculture Programme?


Interested learners can enroll for School of Agriculture programme using the Common
Prospectus and Application Form of IGNOU for all the programmes of School of
Agriculture except for PhD programme.

NOTE:
However, the application forms are separate for the PhD programmes which can be
downloaded from the www.ignou.ac.in website.
For awareness programmes, since it is a non-credit programmes, there are no application
forms available and for further details, kindly contact the concerned programme
coordinator.

6. Where can I get the application Forms?


The Common Prospectus can be obtained from the Registrar, SR&D, IGNOU, Maidan Garhi,
New Delhi-110068 and from all the Regional Centres of IGNOU by sending a sum of
Rs.150/- through a Demand Draft drawn in favour of ‘IGNOU’ payable at New Delhi / the
city of concerned Regional Centre/or paying Rs.100/- in cash at the respective sale counters.
Please write your name and address on the back of the DD.
An electronic version of the Prospectus is also available at IGNOU website at
http://www.ignou.ac.in. If application form is downloaded from the IGNOU website
(http://prog_details.ignou.ac.in/common_pros_10_11/common-pros-final1.pdf), you should
add Rs.100/- in addition to the programme fee.

7. When is the last date for taking admission?


The last date for submission of filled in application along with the programme fee for
January and July sessions are as follows:

8. What will happen when I submit the application form after the due dates?
The filled in forms submitted at concerned Regional Centres beyond the last dates for
each session shall be treated/considered in the next session.

9. Whom should I submit the filled application form along with the prescribed fee?
The filled in application form along with the prescribed programme fee should only be
submitted to the concerned Regional Centre. The details of Regional Centre can be obtained
from http://www.ignou.ac.in/rcswebsite/home.htm link.

10. How I should submit the programme fee?


The programme fee should be submitted in the form of Demand Draft or credit card or Cash
challan. All Demand Drafts must be drawn in favour of IGNOU payable at the city of the
Regional Centre.
If payment mode Bank Draft/Cash Challan, then at the back of Demand Draft/Challan Copy
please fill the following details (Fee proof is not required for Credit Card Payment):
(i) Your name
(ii) Auto generated Control Number given by IGNOU
(iii) Programme applied
The total amount shall include:
• Registration Fee: ` 100.00
• Programme Fee (See question No. 1)
However, you should add Rs.100 in addition to the above if you use the downloaded
application form.
NOTE: If you submit the application form after the due date, kindly include Rs 200.00 as
late fee along with the above fee structure.

11. Whether I can apply online?


Yes. You can apply for any of the School of Agriculture Programmes through online.
Application forms can also be submitted online through the University website
(http://onlineadmission.ignou.ac.in/Apply.htm) round the year.

12. Whether I can take simultaneous admission in two programmes of IGNOU?


Students who are already enrolled in a programme of one year or longer duration can also
simultaneously register themselves for any certificate programme of 6 months duration.
However, if there is any clash of dates of counselling or examination schedule of the two
programmes taken, University will not be in a position to make adjustment.

13. If I have not completed the programme in stimulated time (maximum duration),
what should I do?
Students who are not able to clear their programme within the maximum duration allowed,
can take re-admission for additional time of one year duration.
The student has to make payment per course on pro-rate basis. The details of pro-rate fee and
the Re-admission Form is available at the Regional Centres for the courses which they have
not been able to complete. For further details, please see the website.
The student who fails to pay the prescribed full programme fee during the maximum duration
of the Programme will have to pay full fee for the missed years in addition to pro-rate course
fee for re-admission.

14. What should I fill in the study centre column in the application form if there is
no study centre in my locality?
If there is no study centre in your locality, you can leave the study centre code column blank
in the application and submit the application form.
If you can attend the counselling in a study centre near your locality, you can fill the study
centre code of that study centre in the study centre code column.

NOTE:
The rules and regulations mentioned in the Common Prospectus and Application Form
of IGNOU is final. Kindly read the common prospectus thoroughly before applying.
