One of the key to enter the
Garden (paradise)

A hadith by Imam At-Tirmidhi from

Abu Yusuf 'Abdullah ibn Salam said:
I heard the Messenger of
Allah may Allah bless him and
grant him peace, say...
O people! make the greeting
common practice,
...provide food, maintain ties
of kinship and pray while
people are asleep...
...and you will enter the
Garden in safety.”

Narrated by Imam At Tirmidhi

A hadith by Imam Daud from

Abdul Salam bin ‘Atiq
There are three who are under
the protection of Allah...
...and if he lives, he will be
protected for and it will be
sufficient for him...
...and if he dies, Allah will
enter him into the paradise...
1. Whoever leaves (Jihad) in
the way of Allah...
2. Whoever goes out to
the masjid,
3. Whoever enters his
house and gives the
greetings (Salam).

Narrated by Imam Abi Daud and Al-Hakim

To get the blessing and
barakah from Allah
Allah SWT reveal in the Quran.
When you enter houses, give
greetings of peace upon each
other - a greeting from Allah,
blessed and good.”

Al-Quran. Surah Al-Nur 24:61

A hadith by Imam At-Tirmidhi.
Anas bin Malik radiallahu Anhu narrated that
the Prophet peace be upon him said to him...
Dear son, when you enter
your house...
...say Assalamu’alaikum to
your family...
Assalamu’alaikum
Warahmatullahi
Wabarakatu
...for it will be a blessing
(barakah) both to you and to
your family.

Narrated by Imam At-Tirmidhi

Spread the love towards
other Muslim
Should I not inform you of
something that if you were to
do it then you would love one
another?
Spread the (greetings) salam
between yourselves.”

Narrated by Imam Muslim

From this hadith we learn that,

Salam is the
greeting of the Muslims

Salam removes any coldness or
unfriendliness that may exist
between the Muslims.
