The Bureau of Ocean Energy Management, Regulation and

Enforcement (BOEMRE), formally the Minerals Management
Service, recei ved your Freedom of Information Act (FOIA)
request, sent via e-mail on June 9, 2010. You requested a
variety of documents regarding compliance with federal
environmental and natural resource laws and the 5-Year
Leasing Program. We have assigned your request number MMS-
2010 -00271; please reference this number on any
correspondence concerning this request.

We apologize for our delay in responding to your FOIA

request; however , due to the high volume of requests for
information pertaining to the BP/Deepwater Horizon oil
spill, this delay was unavoidable .

You have asked for the following:

1) documents concerning . . compliance with federal

environmental and natural resource laws with respect to the
five-year Program

2) copies of permits, lease sales , or other action

authorized pursuant to or under the 5 -Year Leasing Program

3) documents concerning . . policies or guidance

relating to compliance with federal environmental and
natural resource laws in the administration of the oil and
gas program

facilitate your query, the lease number associated with the
Deepwater Horizon , and the Macondo Well, is 832306. Enter
this lease number in the box to the right of "Le a s e Number" ,
and click in the box to the left. Then click on the " Su bmi t
Query" button. This will take you to a list of documents
relating to the leasing of Block 252 in the Mississippi
Canyon Area.
