Dear Sir/Madam,

I am an undergraduate from the National University of Singapore on the SIA-

NOL scholarship pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering and a minor in Management of
Technology and I would like to apply for an internship position as Product Designer/ Hardware
Engineer at Gajah International between May to July 2009.

Having learnt that Gajah International has an extensive product design background coupled with
R & D work, my strong interest in engineering product design and 3D modeling motivated me to
apply for this internship as I believe that this would give me the valuable experience needed to
enhance my design skills as well as expose me to the healthy, exciting environment of working
in a start up company.

With 4 years of exposure to engineering design, a certified course in AutoCAD and the
university course in Solidworks, I believe I would be able to contribute as well as learn a lot as
an intern at Gajah International. Recently, I designed a 3D model of a wheelchair with enhanced
features (using Solidworks) as a part of the university curriculum. Furthermore, my internship at
Zimplistic Private Limited, wherein I helped with the design on an electrical appliance prototype,
helped improve my design and problem solving skills.

I have herewith attached my resume for your perusal .Considering my above mentioned skill
sets and my dedication and drive to be part of this wonderful project, I look forward to an
interview, where my suitability for this position can be further assessed by you.
