Key – Competences:
developing communication skills in the target language
participating in oral conversations on a familiar topic
producing responses to simple direct questions repeated or reformulated by a
cooperative interlocutor
Interdisciplinary – Competences:
thinking in a critical way
keeping pupils/interlocutor interested on the message of the subject under
discussion
promoting and motivating discussion on the given topic in the target language
creating a respecting group opinion and excluding a possible conflict of interests
Specific – Competences:
1. Communication Area
• Communicative Competences
producing an explanatory message on a familiar topic referred to events and
situations from the pupil’s immediate environment
describing personal experience, school experiences, events, undertaken activities,
intentions and projects
describing personal objects, people from the pupil’s immediate environment, life
conditions, familiar places, using a set of simple familiar phrases and expressions
2. Cultural Area
• Intercultural Competences
knowing something about famous people (theatre, science, literature) from
English-Speaking countries
identifying and respecting the norms of verbal and non-verbal communication
while interacting in written form
3. Community Area
• Civic Competences
editing simple descriptions of events, undertaken activities and personal
experiences
editing logically structured biographies of real and imaginary characters, using a
set of familiar words and expressions
editing certain logically structured descriptions of objects, places, real and
imaginary scenery
4. Comparison Area
• Methodological Competences
defining the form and logical structure of a non-literary text
deducing the meaning of unfamiliar words from the context
identifying relations among the characters of various texts (familiar, friendly,
official)
