Recruiter
Work closely with superintendents, hiring managers, and human resources manager
to determine hiring needs, analyze turnover trends, and implement recruiting str
ategies. Serve as the primary point of contact for applicants throughout the hi
ring process.
- Review resume and screen candidates. Make hiring recommendation to hiring man
agers.
- Implement proactive sourcing and recruiting strategies to build a pipeline of
candidates. Maintain relationships with qualified candidates and contacts, espe
cially during slow season.
- Utilize various recruiting techniques, including organizing and attending dive
and maritime school recruiting visits, sourcing candidates, placing ads, and pr
omoting the employee referral program.

- Developed applicant tracking system to determine what recruiting sources produ
ce the most qualified candidates and provide the best return on investment.
- Selected to participate in ISO 9000 focus group to identify and rectify missin
g quality standards from companys Human Resources department.
- Acted as lead on company-wide Employee Satisfaction Survey. Developed, commun
icated, and rolled out survey to the entire organization.

Secretarial Supervisor
Served as a primary liaison between attorneys/paralegals and legal secretaries o
n designated floors. Managed and prioritized workload, and arranged coverage fo
r scheduled and unscheduled secretarial absences for a secretarial staff of 190.
Ensured secretaries provided quality service to internal staff members/departm
ents of the Firm as well as external clients and vendors.
- Analyzed and assessed on-going staffing requirements and worked closely with r
ecruiter to meet these needs. Actively participated in interviews and candidate
selection process.
- Developed and implemented firm-wide policies and procedures for the Secretaria
l Resources team.
- Managed performance review process by soliciting input from attorneys and para
legals about secretarial job performance; incorporate first-hand observations ab
out adherence to the firms policies, procedures and performance expectations and
requirements. Communicated performance and salary adjustment information.
- Regularly met with newer secretaries and their assigned attorneys to provide f
eedback concerning performance and/or areas of performance requiring additional
training or improvement
- Coached and counseled secretaries on performance, behavior and attitude concer
ns, partnering with Human Resources to administer corrective action when appropr
iate.
- Led weekly morning meetings, updating secretaries on current events and update
s from other departments within the Firm.
