***INSTALLATION***
1 Launch the setup.exe yourself before you plug USB cable to DSC.
2 If you plug in the USB cable first, please select cancel on the setup wizard.

C:\Windows/twain_32\MyDSC\sqcamd.sys

***HOW TO DOWNLOAD PHOTOS***


1 Launch the [My DSC] on Desktop. Select My DSC2.
2 The Photo Main Window appears and you can click the download photos icon
(pink camera).

***ACQUIRING THE DRIVER***

The driver is the industry standard protocol that allows external image devices
to communicate with your imaging software.

1 Once the driver is installed properly along with the imaging software, launch the
imaging software ArcSoft Photo Impression 4.0 to begin editing photos. Select
[Camera/Scanner] from the menu.
2 The Select data source box appears. Choose [DualCamera], select [New] for
Album selection and click the Acquire button.
3 The Photo Main Window appears and you can click the download photos icon
(pink camera).
4 Now you may transfer camera images directly into Imaging for viewing/editing or
save images directly onto a disk.

***VIDEO CAPTURE Applications***


1 Launch the [My DSC2] on Desktop. Select PC Cam.
2 The PC Cam Main Window appears and you can click [Preview] in the Option

tool bar to preview or click [Capture/Acquire] tool bar to start capturing video. 1
***VIDEO CONFERENCE Applications***
1. Launch the NetMeeting TM if you have installed it.
A. Check if you have installed NetMeeting
a. Click [Start]
b. Click [Programs]
c. Click [Accessories]
d. Click [Communications] or [Internet tools]
e. Click NetMeeting
B. Check if [My DSC] wdm driver was successfully installed?
a. Open [Device Manager]
b. Find [Imaging Devices]
c. Select [DualCamera] then ‘Action’ and ‘Properties’
d. Check whether the Device Status is “This device is working properly.”
e. If not, try #1 again.

2. To run other video conference programs, you must check if [My DSC2] wdm
driver was successfully installed.
**ADDITIONAL QUESTIONS**
Q: If the wdm driver was not successfully installed, what do I do?
A: Follow these steps:
1Open [System] in Control Panel
2Open [Device Manager]
3Find [Imaging Devices]
4Select [My DSC] then delete it.
5Delete sq9120.inf files if it exists. (NOTE: <WINDIR>\inf\sq9120.inf and
<WINDIR>\inf/other\SQTechnologysq9120.inf) <WINDIR> is Windows directory.
Default is C:\Windows.
6Remove and plug USB cable again.
7Follow the steps of the setup wizard.
8Check whether the Device Status is “This device is working properly.

Q: How do I assure the camera connection is successful?


A: Go to START Menu. Select My Computer and DualCamera should appear
under Scanners/Cameras.

Q: How do I assure the imaging software was installed properly?


A: Go to START Menu. Select Control Panel and click Add/Remove Programs.
ArcSoft Photo Impression 4.0 and ArcSoft Video Impression 1.6 should appear on
the list of programs.

Q: How do I assure the imaging software was installed properly?


A: Go to START Menu. Select Control Panel and click Add/Remove Programs.
ArcSoft Photo Impression 4.0 and ArcSoft Video Impression 1.6 should appear on
the list of programs.

Q: How many photos can I take?

Mini Digital Keychain Camera Overview
Thank you for purchasing the ZINA Mini Digital Keychain Camera. It not only
allows you to take photos, but also has built-in PC camera functions. This camera is
equipped with a 64Mb built-in SDRAM. If you want to download the digital photos
in the camera onto your computer, connect the USB cable to your computer and
camera. It is also possible to use the built in PC camera functions to hold a video
conference via the internet, enabling you to have a face to face online conversation
with others.

Getting Started
This camera is equipped with standard accessories including a pouch, one AAA
Alkaline battery, CD software and USB cable. The following section will explain
how to use them with the camera.
Replacement of the Battery
The battery compartment is located at the base of the camera. ‘AAA’ battery
required. If you want to replace the battery:
1Open the battery cover.
2Load the battery by placing it into the compartment according to the pole directions
on the battery cover.
3Close the battery cover.
Precautions
When you use the USB cable to connect the camera with your computer, you do not
have to use the battery since the power provided by the computer through the USB
interface is sufficient.
Warning
1If the battery cover is opened accidentally, the power will be cut off and all photos
will be deleted.
2If the camera is not in use for a long period of time, remove the battery to avoid
discharging or corrosion.
3Batteries are a flammable product and should not be exposed to fire.
4Alkaline batteries are recommended.

Automatic Energy Saving Mode


In order to conserve battery power, the camera will automatically enter the energy
saving mode within 30 seconds if not in use.
Taking Photos
1Press the Function/MODE button to power up.
2Look through the viewfinder and point at the desired object of photography.
3IMPORTANT: HOLD THE CAMERA STEADILY AND PRESS THE
SHUTTER BUTTON TO TAKE THE PHOTO.
4While taking a photo, do not point the camera into direct sunlight.

WARNING: If this happens, overexposure can occur


1When you hear the buzzer beep once, this indicates that a photo was taken
successfully. You, then, can continue taking more photos in the same manner.
2When the digital camera is fully loaded with photos, press the Shutter button again,
and this time the buzzer will give out a continuous beeping sound indicating the
camera is full.

Note:
When taking photos, a loud beep indicates that a photo was taken successfully
and a low beep indicates that the photo was not captured.
Operating the Camera
To operate the camera properly, it must be in the working mode. If the digital
camera is in the energy saving mode, press the Function button once to start the
camera and get it into a working state, and then conduct the following camera
function operations:
Turning off the Camera
1Press Function/MODE button once and the LCD will display “oF”
2Press the “Shutter” button within 5 seconds to turn the camera off quickly.

Auto-shoot Mode
1Press the Function/MODE button until LCD displays “St”
2Press the Shutter button within 5 seconds to enter the 10-second time set auto-shoot
state, and the digital camera will emit a sound every second.
3After 10 seconds, the camera will take the picture.

Note:
When the digital camera is fully loaded, this function is not applicable.
Continuous Photography Mode
1Press the Function/MODE button until the LCD displays “CS”
2Press the Shutter button continuously or hold down within 5 seconds to start the
continuous photography. Camera will take 3 photos consecutively.

Note:
During the continuous photography period, you may have poor exposure due to the
shortage of rays.
Image Quality Shift Mode

1Press the Function/MODE button until LCD displays “Hi/Lo.” The camera will
operate in low resolution “Lo”, which enables you to take 100 photographs. When the
camera is switched on it is automatically in High Resolution “Hi” with a 25-
photograph capability.
2Press the Shutter button within 5 seconds and the shift of image quality can be
achieved.

Image Compression/Normal Shift


1Press Function/MODE button to select “Hd/Ld” on the LCD display.
2Press the Shutter button within 5 seconds and the shift of image compression/normal
can be achieved.

Light System Shift


1Press the Function/MODE button to display “60” on LCD screen.
2Press the Shutter button within 5 seconds and the shift of 50/60Hz light system can
be achieved.

Deleting the Last Photo


1Press the Function/MODE button until LCD displays “CL”.
2Press the Shutter button within 5 seconds to delete the last photo.
Deleting All photos
1Press the Function/MODE button until LCD displays “CA”.
2Press the Shutter button and “CA” will flash. Press again within 5

seconds to delete all photos on the camera.


Note:

If you do not press the Shutter button within 5 seconds, the photos will not be
deleted and the digital camera will return to it’s normal working state.
AVI (Audio/Visual)
1Press the Function/MODE button until LCD displays “d8.”
2Press and hold the Shutter button within 5 seconds and AVI operation will begin.
Once camera is full, AVI operation will stop.

Software Installation
If your computer system is Win98 I, you must setup the document name
E:/Win/DIRECTX 8.1b REDIST PACKAGE.EXE (E is CD driver) before you setup
the driver program of the digital camera. Place the CD into your CD-ROM drive, and
the software will automatically run the installation wizard. Follow the directions of
the installation wizard. If the auto run function in your computer fails to load the
software, you must manually install the program according to the following steps
(Make sure there are no other programs currently running):
A. Installation of the Driver
1 Go to your start icon on the main desktop and locate CD ROM icon in the
Windows Explorer program. This is normally located in the D: or E: Drive.
2The ‘Welcome to the DC Software page’ will appear.
3First, Install DC driver
4 Please follow the instructions of the Installation Wizard.
5Press Cancel if prompts to Confirm File Deletion. Then select [Back to Main Menu]

B. Installation of the Imaging Software


1. Install ArcSoft Photo Impression 4.0
a. Follow instructions of the Installation Wizard.
b. Press Cancel if prompts to Confirm File Deletion. Return to Main Menu

2. Install ArcSoft Video Impression 1.6


a. Follow instructions of the Installation Wizard.
b. Press Cancel if prompts to Confirm File Deletion. Exit to Main Menu.

Downloading Photos
When your photo memory device is fully engaged, you can delete the photos to take
more photos. Before you delete the photos, you can transmit them into the computer
for storage.
1. Use the USB cable to connect the computer with the digital camera, and
the buzzer will give a beep sound indicating the connection has occurred.
IMPORTANT: If the hardware is not recognized and there is a camera connection
error, reconnect the USB cable into another USB port and proceed with Step#2.
1Select the folder “My DSC2.” If the software was downloaded properly, you will
find “My DSC2” on your desktop. You should have three programs in the folder (My
DSC2, PC Cam and Read Me Files). Select

“My DSC2”.

3. Click the icon of a pink camera on the bottom left of the window and this will
open the “download photos” menu. You can select “download all photos” to
download all of the photos or select the “just download” option to choose the
number of photos to download. The number of photos in the camera will be
specified on the bottom of the menu. If this

option does not appear, you can select all of the photos by clicking “select all photos
on page” icon (fourth icon) to download all or to choose a certain number of photos to
download, click the photo and it will appear highlighted.

Software of Photo Editor


Use “Photo Impression 4.0” software to edit the photos. Click “Camera/Scanner.”
The Select data source box appears. To get photos, Select ‘New’ for Album and
choose [Dual camera) for Source. Then, click ‘Aquire’ (center icon on bottom of
page). The photo’s main window appears and you can click the download photos
icon (the pink camera on the bottom left of the window) to download all photos.
Click the image of the photo you wish to edit and select ‘Transfer Photos.’ Now
you can transfer camera images directly into Imaging for viewing/editing or save
images directly to a disk.

PC Camera Functions:
Click (Dual camera), and a dialogue box will pop up below the page. Click [video
camera] and the dialog box [capture the images from video camera] will
automatically appear. Select (Dual camera) driver for this camera.

Functions Introduction

1. Sources

You can set Brightness, Contrast…device origin, device set and camera
control. Select Default (recommended).

1Format
You can adjust the resolution and the color mode of images.
Select [RGB-24] (recommended).

3. Live

You can browse real-time videos or images.


2Capture When you play videos, click and select this function to acquire the single
picture and store in the album.
3Done
Finish the PC camera functions

Video Conference
This digital camera can be used as a PC camera to conduct image transmission or
hold online video conference. To do this, you must:
1Use the USB cable to connect the camera and the USB interface of the PC.;
2Run the video conference software Microsoft NetMeeting on your computer. To
download, go to www.microsoft.com and choose NetMeeting. Proceed with the
download. To access NetMeeting, go to your desktop and Click Start, Programs,
Accessories, Communications, and then NetMeeting. Click [TOOL] and press
[OPTION];
3Select the corresponding video devices (see diagrams below) to hold the video
conference.

VideoImpression1.6
VideoImpression1.6 is an easy-to-use video edit software. This software allows the
digital camera to function as a video camera as well. In addition to editing the current
video file, you can create a new video file. The program options include: “New,”
“Edit,” “Save,” and “Send.” In addition, there are the same help functions
as in Photo Impression, which include the following:
a. Help – “?”
b. Tips – “!”
c. Minimize – “__”
d. Exit – “X”
Starting Video Impression

Play Mode
By clicking on the “New” option, the available camera functions will appear (see
diagram below).

Video Frequency
The video frequency allows the digital camera to take the digital video and save it
onto the hardware for your enjoyment. After pressing, “Capture” or “Camcorder,”
the following screen will appear. With Video Impression1.6, you can take and direct
the family video all by yourself, and email it to your friends!
