Contract Engineer Projects 2000-Present Project Engineer
* Contract engineer on following projects:
Provided engineering assistance for process improvement projects at
Trinity Manufacturing on chlor-alkali equipment utilizing waste heat
recovery.

Provided engineering consultation at the Lyondell Polyethylene
facilities in Victoria, TX. Work involved project designs for
separating process waste systems from the storm water system for
meeting required state permit regulations. Work involved conceptual
and complete design for nine wastewater projects, which included
process debottlenecking, decanting waste streams, and sump
reconfigurations. Process Hazard Analyses and safety reviews were
performed.

At Heraeus fiber optic tooling facilities, provided designs to
capture coolant mist emissions, and dry particulate exhausts. Also, I
was responsible for designing the plant utility piping, which included
high purity Hydrogen and Oxygen piping installations for their
torching operations.

At Trane, work involved design/build fabrications of customized air
handling units for Wyeth, AG Edwards, and Keebler, etc. Provided
client interface with construction issues, design specifications,
drawing checking, and field follow-up on several projects.

Design engineer for Procter and Gamble installations focusing around
laundry detergent reformulations associated with dense and dilute
phase pneumatic conveying piping projects. Also pump and fan
replacements and conveyor modifications were accomplished to meet
customer needs.

At Armstrong Service, performed Energy Audits at various sites for
financed energy conservation projects. Sites included Rohm and Haas,
Witco, Miliken. Other projects concentrated on boiler and condensate
return energy audits.

After an OSHA inspection at local manufacturer of compound brake
shoes, formulated and implemented the Process Safety Management
program, which also included Lock and Tag Procedures, Confined Space
Entry, and Process Hazards Analyses.
DUKESOLUTIONS a" CHARLOTTE, NC 1998-1999 SENIOR PROJECT ENGINEER
Performed Energy Audits at various sites for financed energy
conservation projects. Provided front-end engineering and
client/construction interface on a $5M project for compressed air
control at the Eastman Chemical plant in Kingsport, TN. Project
consisted of extensive compressed air and cooling water piping
modifications for ten steam driven and electric driven compressors.
PERIGON P.A. a" WILMINGTON, NC 1996-1997 SENIOR PROCESS ENGINEER
Process and design engineer on projects involving polymerization
modifications, Hydrochloric Acid generation, and preliminary
engineering studies for a large capacity Dowtherm heater
installation. Prepared installation and operational qualification
protocols for a bulk pharmaceutical manufacturer, and performed mass
and energy balances for a proposed wallboard drying process. Worked
involved piping changes associated with the above listed projects,
and included jacketed pipe installations.

_Project and Machine Design Engineer_
 Self-employed contract design engineer on projects including Bulk
Material Handling involving Column Lifts, Clean Assist Systems
involving piping, and new product developments including design and
installation of mass flow meters, variable speed drives, which
include installation and operational validations.
E.I. DUPONT DE NEMOURS pioneering research and market development
work at the Experimental Station and Christina Laboratory in
Wilmington, DE. Summer assignments during school years were
performed at Old Hickory, TN, Wilmington and Edgemoor, DE.
