Job title was GIS Analyst. I created GIS systems for our clients. Taking their
old paper maps and converting that data into ArcMap. Then provided that data t
o the client either in a format that they could add to or just visually look at
using an ERSI product of their choosing. I worked closely with the surveyors, h
elping them collect data to be used in the maps. I met with all clients and wor
ked with them on how to improve their mapping systems. Traveled to trade shows
meeting prospective clients, showing them what we had to offer them.

Position was structural engineer technician. I detailed steel members for build
ings.

Job title was GIS Manager. I managed a group of approx. 15 people. I oversaw t
he GIS base creation used for the engineering of the telecommunication plant in
22 states. I had started to convert all of their AutoCad drawings to ArcInfo, t
o create a seamless base system. I created maps for sales and marketing showing
the high business density in communities. I helped set up the drafting standar
ds to use within McLeodUSA. My department created the plan-a-metric data that S
pringfield, Il and Dallas, Texas metro area use in their GIS systems. Because o
f working with other GIS products from other sources, I got to work with many di
fferent types of software, such as ( Microstation, MGE, MapInfo, Autodesk World,
ArcInfo Products, etc.). I traveled to all the trade shows and represented McL
eodUSA / NewCom in our booths at these shows. Meeting prospective clients expla
ining what we did and how we could help their companies enhance their mapping pr
oducts. How we could reduce their overhead.
